So my fancy new phone's (Galaxy s9) wifi suddenly went haywire after a big "update" (I have never experienced an update that does something good) a few weeks back. Now either nothing ever loads (Internet browsing or Youtube videos) or it takes forever for that annoying load spinner to give me a 144p video only to constantly cut it off with more load icons.
When using up my monthly (non-wifi) data, everything runs smoothly but as soon as I turn on the wifi icon, bam, nothing works. Its like I'm turning off my Internet connection when I turn wifi on. Everyone I've talked to says to turn off/disconnect my router but everything else runs great. My Switch has zero issues with online play and I'm typing this from a laptop so it has wifi.
I never had any issues before that update so I'm certain there's an issue with my phone. Thing is, we all know me and technology. Any hints?

I don't have a Samsung, but I had a similar problem to this a while back. Try resetting your wifi network settings, restarting your phone, and then connecting to the wifi again. I believe it should be in settings under something like "general" or "general settings" or something like that. From there, look for a menu option marked reset, then it should give you a list of options. Pick "Reset Network Settings" specifically; if you pick any of the others you might lose actually important data so be careful on that.
If a wi-fi reset doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you. That's generally all you have to do when internet connectivity isn't working right but your router is still fine.
