Online games have let me down, mostly because of the harsh grindfest that most free to play mmo's, i have played a lot of mmo's, and i mean A LOT, i could give you a list if you wanted xD
anyway, this topic is to talk about those mmo's you like, those you dont and all that stuff.
i gotta say that pay to play mmorpgs are indeed better but just sometimes, i have played wow (private servers), city of heroes/villains (trial account, great game) and own guildwars (normal and two expansions) they really are great xD.
Some other mmo's i like and why (all f2p):
Ghost X online: great weapon and fighting system, every and each weapon feels different even though they are the same type, nano systems to thank for that, nice skills , but can be too much of a grinder sometimes.
RF online: really cool game with great war system and cool classes, there are 3 factions and they all have their perks, wars for power breakout between them and pk system is really good.
Mini-fighter: i played a bit in the closed beta and this fighter feels just like those high speed brawlers i like, comboing from one attack to another, really good game, but too laggy right now.
Ace online: remade cowboy online, to me this is the best flight game out there, the aircrafts control smoothly and the battles are just something else (great).
Dream of mirror online: they great class system (which lets you change class whenever you want) just guarantees you wont be bored, with lots to do and a great story (one of the little mmo's that has a cool one) this is a win mmo
RAN online: this campus esqued game is cool, skills and classes are nice, but failed to captivate me for long
Thang online: a real grinder, there are no quests here, just kills and dungeons, even with that, i always feel compelled to replay this game (mostly because it was my first mmo)
Ragnarok online: nuff said
Ghost online: a 2d scroller, which i really liked, good pvp system, nice classes, and the soul systems is pretty nice, coupled with transformations and good/evil system this game i pretty cool.
mabinogi: one of the nicest f2p out there, the skill system is nice, you gotta learn stuff in school and from npcs, there's lots to do, from exploration, to music or harvesting, this one has them all, the age system is a nice touch and the story-drived quests are really nice, besides transformations in this one rule.
Wizard 101 online: great online card game, the only one of its kind.
well cant seem to remember more (and there are more, lots more), anyway this post wasnt made for me to ramble endlessly, so dicuss the mmos you like xD.
