We have a chatzy. While I'm okay with a voice chat, others would likely be opposed to it.

I really doubt a a voice chat would see much use, and making a new IRC chat is pointless. We've had like five threads made about this. There's also the issue of our inactive admin being incredibly opposed to outside chats for GFF (claiming they would kill forum activity (when they in fact haven't) and refusing to sticky the thread containing our chatzy), and the issue that a few of our members are quite biased against skype. That's why I say Discord. It's easily accessible, and if the download of it disagrees with your computer, perhaps try using it via browser, or via mobile app. |

I'm fine with Skype now. After all these years, I figured out that its issues on my two computers (being unable to log in, freezing, using 100% of system memory, requiring 2-3 restarts) were all caused by having automatic login checked. I'm also over the fact that it killed MSN.
I don't think we really need something besides the Chatzy, but one reason I would support Skype is because we can do video calls easily... by which I mean streaming the desktop, which can be fun to watch all kinds of stuff, including maybe even Gotcha Force or... anything on computer.
Still, besides that, I see no reason to not just go on the Chatzy, an already well established group, since while some of us are alright with voice chat, it just seems in general we're more comfortable with text chat.
Though I do feel Ultima seriously needs to make it more accessible. The Chatzy topic requires you to dig it out some posts down, and ask for a password via PM...
