If ya'll wanna play sometime lemme know. My PSN is Asetrisk. Just send a message or friend request or whatever and mention that you're from GFF so i don't ignore it.
I prefer to play Symettra (only on Defense atm, i haven't put in the time to figure out Offense/Neutral playstyles yet)>Zenyatta>Reaper, and kinda Winston. I don't play Zarya, Mercy, Luccio, Torb (i have morals after all), McCree, Hanzo, Widow, or Junkrat. I do play the other characters but they're usually not my first pick cause i do well enough on the characters i do prefer.
Zarya because i don't like how she plays at all. Mercy because i just vastly prefer Zen for her role. Luccio because i suck at him and i don't feel like he's self sufficient enough for how i want to play him. Torb because Torb is BS. McCree, Hanzo, and Widow because my aim is bade, and Junkrat because idk, i just don't like him much.

Been playing a lot of Lucio recently. When my team decides to go for lots of offensive picks (which they usually do, since everyone thinks they're a pro Genji or something) I like being the only person who picks a support role who can do so without having to stick close by to a very spread out team, since I can heal everyone at once pretty much and I have a better offence. I played Mercy a lot in the beta, but there's fewer Reinhardts and such which makes Mercy pretty vulnerable I find, though maybe I just haven't spent enough time with her yet. I always end up playing Zen very ineffectually, so I never pick him. I love using Symetra on defence, usually in maps like Anubis and Hanamura where you can take advantage of how difficult it is to break though some chokepoints. I rarely play Torb on defence because even if he is dumb and a little boring to play, he's often very helpful to have around. Usually the team has at least one torb without my intervention though.
I've grown very fond of D.VA, probably my most played hero after Lucio (would have to check the stats) she has great survivability and mobility, and can be really helpful against Widowmakers and Torb. I mostly just like using her for sitting on an objective or taking out flankers and killing everything though. Roadhog is also enjoyable, so I've been using both of those more than Reinhardt, who I do still use a lot. Probably more than Roadhog actually, but I often find that players rarely take advantage of the shield I give them, so I often find myself alone on the payload and utterly defenceless against Bastions and offence heroes. Other heroes are more useful to me for that reason, because they have better offence. I'll usually pick Rein if there's a bastion though, because those two working together are insane.
Oh! And D.VA's ultimate. It's so good. It just clears out the enemy so well, since even if they don't die they have to leave the objective just to avoid it. I can often survive out of the mech until she can call another one too, which is fine since I play D.VA very aggressively in the mech.
The only offence hero I like using is Soldier 76, who I never thought I'd like because he's very traditional, Halo esc, and noob friendly in his playstyle. But I just find him really reliable, his balanced toolset (especially the healing circle, which lets me act as pseudo emergency support on a team with bad support) lets me do just about anything in any situation, and his rockets are great against Reinhardt, Torb, and Bastion, while his heal helps him survive without having to leave the battle to grab a health pack or rely on support. Just drop it at your feet and become a mini tank for a few seconds while you wait for the real one to arrive. I can also get back to the fight quick with his sprint upon respawn. Just today I was on Hanamura attack. After taking point A and dying, when I spawned I noticed the enemy team was engaging us on point A and hadn't yet bothered to retreat to point B. So I sprinted all the way there. It was practically empty save for like a Torb without a turret and someone else who had only just spawned in, so I popped my ultimate to kill them, set down my healing circle and pretty much took the control point singlehandedly, more or less uncontested. A Widowmaker appeared and shot me just as we won. I doubt I would have been able to pull that off with any other character, since Tracer would have to leave the point to grab a health pack, and Reaper/McCree wouldn't be able to attack them from range. And Pharah's rockets never do enough damage for me- and again, she can't heal herself. I really like 76, which I wasn't expecting. He's basically the only offence hero I play. Tracer is fun but I'm very bad with her.
The rest I haven't played enough or I just dislike. We don't need more Bastions around, for example, and my sniper game is awful. I play embarrassing Hanzos and Widows. I can't get the hang of Winston or Zarya, though I really should try Mei. Been really enjoying this game- one of my recent play of the games made by me really showed just how much of a team game this is. The enemy team had bunched up on the payload they were defending, which was inches from its final destination, and their team included a Rein and Bastion. I was playing 76 and had ran round the side of them and popped my Ultimate. As I began shooting our Zarya used her Ultimate in response to mine, basically allowing me to unload into the enemy team and more or less wipe out their entire team, except for one who wasn't on the payload I think since I died seconds afterwards. I had to strafe around the entire playload as I did this in order to get around Rein's shield, it was really cool. But I couldn't have done that without Zarya. You can't really solo even a bad team by yourself in this game. Unless you're Bastion at a chokepoint maybe, but even then I wouldn't try something like that without Mercy or Rein backing me up. Maybe if I had a harmony orb.

Bought Overwatch yesterday, and I've been playing it a lot. I'm really fond of D.Va, Mercy, Zarya, Reaper, Mei, and Mcree, with D.Va and Mercy being my most used heroes.
D.Va, as Al said, is fun for her sheer survivabiliy and mobility. I generally use her to advance objectives and block for my teammates because trying to kill anything with her is next to impossible unless you're flanking someone or using her ult. Speaking of her ult, I've gotten some seriously clutch plays with it, winning two games with it alone by chucking it onto the payload right as it's about to reach the end and getting a quadruple kill both times. Second time was really funny too because I chucked my mech at the enemy team from one end, and the enemy D.Va did the exact same to us. Mine worked out a lot better but it was funny watching the highlight when I got play of the game for it. Mercy is just so much fun. I always liked Medic in TF2, so having a healer who can fly and ressurect dead teammates is extremely cool. When I have a properly functioning team, I can glue them together so well and we do well on offense and defense alike. Zarya I just started playing more today, and she's fun too. She's part support part junkrat part tank and I like that. Her ult is cool too, and she can hold down an area really well. Kinda bad on offense from my experience but on defense she's just great. Reaper...well, he hits really hard up close. I got an entire team kill with him today. The Mei on my team and I coordinated our ults; she froze one end and I ulted the other, we took out five of them, and killed the last one that was just behind the corner. Also, being able to burst down tanks in just a couple hits feels really good. Mei is fun. Not too good on her own, but fun. Mcree, even though he's been nerfed, is fun too. It's high noon a lot, and that ult is just so fun. Even outside of his ult, he's fun too.
So yeah! I'm having a great time.

Apparently you can play Ana on the PC public testing realm. So please do that for me and tell me how legit she is. She's legit. I've been playing on PTR for the past 5 hours or so. Her abilities all flow really well and she's an interesting new addition. Zenyatta and D.Va buffs are amazing! Same for McCree too actually; I've been really enjoying McCree today. Zenyatta having 200 hp now is really good, and his orbs move much faster. Also his transcendence moves him much faster and he heals 300 HP/s, so it actually feels less inferior to Lucio's. D.Va's defense matrix is more like a Reinhardt shield instead of what it was before. Her ult is also really good now instead of garbage; it blows up faster, charges faster, and D.Va isn't hurt by her own mech anymore. Mercy's damage boost + Ana's ult is one of the most terrifying things I've seen. It turns even D.Va into an unstoppable killing machine. Soldier nerfs were a good idea. The character can't just pick you off from long range as easily anymore. He's still great, just less great. All self heal now gives ult charge too. Characters with self heal had their ult charge decreased to compensate, but it's still a buff for anyone with self-healing. Especially for Roadhog. Even though his charge needed was increased to 145%, he still charges really fast. One use of his heal gives like 20% ult charge. Mei's also didn't get changed so this is a huge buff for Mei. I see Meis spit out blizzards like crazy now.

D.Va buffs are real. Almost makes me hype enough to get back into the game.

So Anna came out on the PS4 today and I discovered that now Zenyatta is awesome and I'll be practicing with him.
As for Anna... maybe I need to use her more when the hype dies down, but right now console aim makes her too difficult to use.

I already used Zenyatta a lot pre-buff but I use him a lot more now. Oddly, I don't use D.Va much though.

They changed some of D.VA's buttons on PS4 which will take some getting used to, though despite this I was able to wreck on Anubis attack today using her. Pretty sure I killed off a ton of people at point B when I received a nano boost.
I never used Zenyatta pre-patch, but I just got a play of the game with him and MVP 97% of the match on fire with him in quick play, and I've otherwise been doing pretty good with him. So I'm tempted to bring him into competitive soon.

He did actually get a very small nerf amidst all the buffs, but it means nothing unless you're trying to burst down a 250 HP hero. I've only had it negatively affect me once.

Zenyatta buffs are great, i'm enjoying him even more now. However the Symettra nerf made me extremely annoyed and i feel is completely uncalled for.

That was a console only nerf, right? It's weird since she was already a tad underpowered. I haven't tried her since the patch, are her turrets just completely useless now?
