Hey. Since Carigun asked someone to take over this and nobody else stepped up, I guess I will. This has been a nice way to discuss Gotcha Force (which we haven't been doing much of lately), and I'd like to keep that going. I may not make some picture or visual aid, but I'll at least keep it going. So anyway, Pop Honey. Instant 10/10, obviously. ...nah. As much as I like Pop Honey, I can't really give her something so high. I do still think she's a solid (and underrated) borg, and her support is one of a kind (so she isn't eclipsed by better borgs like Guard Witch or Angel Nurse are), so you can't find her utility anywhere else. It completely ruins most projectile characters on a single hit, and paired with a heavy hitter, Pop Honey could reasonably see a lot of good use. Also she can kill Fortresses with ease if you have the patience of a monk, so that's cool. 7/10.

The thing about this kind of borg is that it disables your opponent from a lot of options so I acquaint to that of the cockroach witch or the death borg that turns you into a deatheye, but not as good. But she's still okay though 'cause all borgs have trouble once they are confused by her "music", not just projectile ones. Like it can be really hard to hit anything with melee attacks 'cause you just end up away from your opponent. edit: I guess the really good thing she has that makes her better then the other ones I mentioned is her song travels quite far!!
Not as good as other mess-you-up kind of borgs/10
I have a gold pop honey though 'cause her records sold really well, she's a lot better than the regular ones!

I want to like Pop Honey. She is a magical pop idol, her little stage is cool. She uses music to attack. Her music confuses Borgs making them nigh on useless, I love her airdash animation, and I think she looks cute.
But...I can't. She is a pain to play as. Her confusion hits really good yes. But her shot doesn't. You have to be really close to hit regularly. Prime squishing range. And make no mistake. She will be squished. She has no health. So you have to play dangerous, or slowly, painfully, skin peelingly slow, hoping a shot hits sometime this century, as all your enemies shots streak by. It's safe. But it bores me about to tears. I hate to do this. But 5/10.

This sums up my response every time I fight a pop honey. It would matter if their was an ultimate cannon out, she dies first.
As has been previously stated, while unique, she has very niche usefulness, and her B shot is awful, (looking at you unarmored Gold Hero... among other melee borgs...) it moves way to slow to be used for anything other than close range, and since her X is basically nerfed by close range, it limits what she can do. If she had some kind of fan effect similar to the valkyrie with the fan... but sound based, that pushed enemies away, it'd greatly increase her usability I think.
That nets this borg, a 4 out of 10

You use the B shot after an airdash because doing so gives Pop Honey infinite vertical height, and you just spam your X attack from above. You just throw out hitboxes all day and hope you hit something with your X attack because those B shots are just so you can be far enough away to be safe.

The designers really did think of everything. GF really is the best game capcom has ever made. *runs away flailing arms to investigate this*

I still think her rating was quite overshot... she's good, and her flight is a strong perk, just way too weak and too unreliable to hit with.
At least she's better than Guard/Shield Witch...

I think its a case of partnering her up with the right type of borg, like a Dragon and Ultimate Cannon.

I agree. She is infuriating as an enemies ally, she limits your damage potential. Since everything just goes in random directions. Leaving you a sitting duck for a dragons beam attack.
