Smite is a third-person MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) where you play as one of a slew of gods to defeat the opposing team's titan. The game has multiple modes with a 1v1 mode, a 3v3 single lane mode, a 4v4 mode and a massive 5v5 mode. It's free to play but all gods other than the first five are in a rotation and must be played during that rotation or rented with ingame currency to be played, or you can buy them all (and all upcoming ones) for one flat payment of 30 dollars, basically meaning the game costs 30 bucks and that's it.
As Indigo and Spoon are aware, I started this yesterday. I was never interested in MOBAS (League of Legends and Dota seemed very dull and cash-grabby) but I must say, Smite is a really good game. I'd love to get some of you into it and team up.
Also, if there's a particular character other than the first five you want to permanently play, you don't really have to pay, keep in mind. All characters can be rented with renown, and you can just keep renting them (and the renown cost is really pretty low so if you play frequently it doesn't seem to be an issue.)
