So ive been watching a few animes lately such as but not limited to, akame ga kill, log horizon, no game no life, (not sao 2 which i should watch, but eh, one show about ppl trapped in a game world at a time is alot, watching two is hard XD )
Anyways, ive also been reading a couple fantasy stories online, (mostly works of fanfic, but anyways) and it has sparked my interest. Hopefully i dont get to busy to write this, or attempt too or whatever. After this initial post, im probably going to take some time, and name my ocs and such, all of which ill post here, and ill take the title and change it when i come up with one, etc.
When i do start up, i only ask for feedback, preferably on this thread, or via pm if thats your preference. Not sure if ill go by chapters or what yet, its a vague idea that im slowly fleshing out i guess? Idk, more to come as i have it?
Suggestions? Idk really what else to put here XD

Edit: (also double post because im more relevant than claxus XD ) For a title im thinking word smith, and the magic system revolving around words, like scribblenauts (kidding) So far, each spell is one syllable, and creating sentences (which will be some gibberish made up language) will create stronger and more diverse spells. In example, fa would be fireball, fa ro, a concentrAted stream of fire, fa ro ka, a flame tower. Etc.

^ ...?
So, Dragonborn fanfic?
Nah, so Lost Magic with syllables?
If Fo is fire... Bu is ice, Ka is rock/earth. Fo is a fireball. Bu is a piercing ice shard. Ka is a rising pillar.
FoBu would fire a piercing fireball. BuFo would fire a powerful larger ice shard. KaBu would create pillars of ice, KaFo burning pillars. Maybe a syllable like Ra would count as a double, so FoRaBu would fire an even more powerful piercing fireball.
Or is it something else entirely?

Man, I don't like any of those anime, if I critiqued your stuff I'd be much too harsh.
One tip I can give you right off the bat (besides choice of anime) is that you don't need to over-think your magic system. Think about the story at the most basic fundamentals. The problem with world-building is that you're likely to bog down your story with unnecessary exposition right off the bat. Did you watch Mahouka? Over complicated magic system that spends most of it's time explaining that rather than focusing on good story telling. Don't be that guy. Think of structure, theme, and character building on the most basic and fundamental levels before you start worrying about the bells and whistles. A Jenga tower with only one block at the foundation is liable to collapse pretty quickly.

Maybe clax maybe. Idk what steve meant? No idea.
Al is correct, and im not trying to overthink the magic, that was just the first idea i had for the magic system.
I want it to be a team of people, possibly all specializing in one element, and they use a breath of fire 4 combo system for their spells. In example, i cast fa, clax uses bo, and steve uses ka. We make some giant combo spell.
Not sure, so far all i have is that at the beginning each oc will have one syllable. And they learn more over time from runes and such.
That or i could set it up so that, for example. Bli would basic lightning, ta would power it up, and ze would be the utmost level, so saying bli ta ze, (blitz if you take out unneeded vowels) would be a spell for basically a thunderstorms level of lightening.
And yea i know character dev and all, which ill get too, once i start work on the characters, i just want to get the basics of the world down lol
Get a firm foundation to build on. Then make the characters stand out on that foundation. Thus, establishing how the system works here before the story starts, actually i may end up using this thread as a sort of ooc...

For now a story that i can update periodically, and a couple rps (or to better explain, running one rp) is all i have time for /:
