Has anyone else played Fraxy?

Just searched this topic in the search bar, and no results showed. Soooo... anyone else played Fraxy?

I used to play Claxy a ton. I loved it. I edited the player ship into a Vanship, Kirby on a warpstar, and a mech... I toyed a little with the boss creator but I always just played with other creations. It got kinda boring after a while though. Maybe I just played it too much. It was way long ago, too, I should play it again some time soon what with all the updates.

Dude! I just remembered something! There's a way to share custom bosses via text! Which means, since I make them, if you go and download Fraxy, I can share my bosses here!

Not sure what it is, but i now feel challenged to make the hardest boss ever. And then share it XD too bad my compu sucks and doubtlessly cant run it.

Give it a try. If your computer is from at least 1980 it should run fine.

Really? Because I've been told lots of things will run fine on my crappy computer.

Really. Because I used to play it on some ancient Windows 98.

It's a 5mb download. The game is literally made entirely up of .bmp graphics. The game runs on 480x360 default, 640x480 at the highest. It only runs 38fps. And you can lower the settings, even flat out disable what little effects or sounds the game has.

Dunno if you knew this or not, but it can also be played in full screen. Some new weapons have been added. Not to mention the fact that everything is customizable. My current player ship is an R-9a. I'm not gonna say how difficult it was to find a suitable image of the top down view of the R-9, separate it, doctor it, shrink it to 32x32 pixels, then add the original sprites to it! But, let's just say it was... difficult.

Everything was always customizable and there were lots of weapons, though probably even more now, And full screen is there but it just stretches the resolution.

What do you mean by adding the original sprites? I just replaced the player ship and it was fine.

It's slightly different now. You now need to take a copy of the original player_01 spritesheet, open it in paint or paint's equivalent, then "paste from" the 32x32 ship sprite. This will make the 32x32 image appear on top of where the old ship was. Then, save it as the file name of the old 32x32 pic, and viola! You've got a new ship using the effects of the old one. If you just put 32x32 image in, you'll end up with a ship that has shadow boosters.   Also, I customized my bullet sprites too, DON'T DO IT UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!! I did tho, and now I have an R-9a Arrowhead that shoots cards.

On desktop orientation there should be a thing you can click, that will put something in brackets, which you then type in-between, which then looks like a shpoiler alert message when posted.

An example is [ s ] [ / s ] with text in the middle looks like this

Edit: and of course since there is no text, the brackets dont appear because they are a command prompt. Stupid programming language! Gah. So to get the prompt for slashed words, use the above format, minus the spaces between everything

In order to use all that in Fraxy, copy/paste all that into notepad, then save it as a .fed file. Then, put that in the enemy folder in the Fraxy folder. Now, when you open Fraxy, it'll be in the list of fightable bosses. Good luck!
