Double post ftw! Inb4 someone else says that the remote bit users like cyber girls super/hyper and proto/cyber atlas are based on r-type force units/ gundam bits (fin funnels) Also why is there no proto g? I mean every other almighty machine has a proto form /: proto g would be sick! "Proto G" = G Red "Cyber G" = Neo G Red I think of g red as more of a base form rather than a proto type of neo XD |

But still a proto g wouldve been cool, idk how he would play, or whatd be different? Maybe like no charge b? Or make it the instant hit thing that command girl has? Idk. Also i feel like eagle jet was inspired by r type... Or maye gradius? |

Somewhat doubt it. Here's why:
1. Eagle Jet is a derivative of a Robot. This means that the Jet was most likely based off of a Super Robot's jet mode.
2. It looks nothing like the Vic Viper or the vastly superior R-9a Arrowhead.
3. The R-9a is all ready represented by Machine/Death Head.
4. I doubt Capcom would reference one of their parent company's biggest franchise's rival franchise's ship.

Eagle Robot seems pretty original to me. The jet form is just like a lot of the other fighters in the game, which also seem original.

I remember seeing that blue and orange striker/fighter were based on a scrolling shooter, but idr which one. I assumed the other planes were as well. XD We all know panther robot is based on hound from g1 Transformers. |

Like, Neo G Red's legs are more polygonal, but if you smooth out some of the edges, they look identical. Shame that it's custom though. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Edit: NEVERMIND, I goofed again. They look like G Red's legs, not Neo's.
