I have come to the conclusion that coins earned in online or VS races do not count in unlocking parts. I know beyond doubt I've gotten 10000 coins since long, but since the mentioned methods don't apply, I'm not sure where the actual counter to get the last glider has stopped. It's back to race in ordinary cups for a while. - AdminI know for a fact they do. It's not every coin you collect though, it's the amount you have at the end of a race. |

Whenever I see Toadette, I think of Thadudette. Somewhat similar names and both are represented by the color hotpink. - AdminYou should tell her. She'd find it sweet and/or funny.  *slowpoke face* I do like Toadette but there was no correlation between her and my username  Completely unrelated to anything, but I don't know how I feel about the Rainbow Road design in this game. Of course the graphics are great but turning the road into a bunch of blinking tiles somehow doesn't feel like the same slick magical Rainbow Road that Mario Kart Wii had. I guess if giving it a different feel was the intention it's fine, but I still like the Fruit-by-the-Foot Rainbow Roads  I do want this game though... *plays Mario Kart Wii sadly in a corner* |

That's true; if you're going for a "realistic" Rainbow Road, it's about as good as it'll get here Though it reminds me of Vegas more than anything else  |

At the bare minimum, you need to do 1,000 races (and that's if you get 10 every race, which won't happen.) I believe you've probably done at least that, and if you race as much as you say you're close, but it's 10,000 and you can get it from online modes, and that's that. You just don't have enough coins. |

When playing online, the total coins held by every human player at the end of the race is the amount you ALL get for your coin total on the completion of the race.
You could get 15,000 coins in 125 races if all 12 humans work together to grab 10 coins and finish the race, rather than attacking each other.
Which is entirely unfeasible, but food for thought.
In the meantime, you have to do 1,000 races to get the gold Wheels and 1,500 races to get the gold Glider. Minimum.
Yes, the gold glider unlocks at 15,000 coins if you don't beat all the staff ghosts.
ALSO, I hope everyone here knows that there are, in fact, 9 hidden stats for every kart piece and driver!
Mini-boost is its own stat that is completely hidden.
In addition, both Speed and Handling actually have separate values for Ground, Water, Air, and Anti-Gravity Speed/Handling. Which are naturally hidden.
This reminds me of the whole "Blue Pikmin are statistically more likely to be eaten" debacle. . .

You get the coins for everyone playing on your console. Ex: 4 player local can get 40 coins, online is at max 20, etc. I assure you that is false, however, you're spot on about the hidden stats. |

Ah, thank you for correcting that fact.
Turns out that, after talking with my source on that "Online Room" bit, turns out they were saying the whole "Every person on your console earns YOU coins" fact. . . but they forgot "How to English", leaving me to interpret it as every human racer in an online room earning you coins.
I'm glad you pointed that out immediately, I would have felt horrible if that had successfully misled anyone else besides myself.

DLC hyyyyype, sixteen new courses, eight new vehicle parts (four are free!) and six bew characters. First DLC pack comes out this november (I've preordered them both)
However, when you preorder, you get new Yoshi and Shy Guy colors.
