It's literally the greatest thing ever.For the sake of this post having more content than exactly one link, I'll explain. Basically some guy is using an IRC bot MAGIC to translate chat input into keypresses into an emulator running Pokémon Red. At the time of this post, there are over 46,000 people watching, so naturally it's a magnificent trainwreck with the number of inputs being posted in the chat. Did I mention that it's literally the greatest thing ever yet? Because it's pretty great.

Found out about this from some friends. Don't play pokemon.
Broke down laughing while repeatedly spamming "Escape," "ESC," and anything else to just close the emulator after realizing someone created a save state.

This has only been going on for five days and they made it to Silph Co.?  ...I believe this is the epitome of "too many cooks in the kitchen"? That said ... excuse me while I... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHBHABHAHBAHBHABHAHAHBHAHAHBAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! Okay, I'm done.  I absolutely died when I saw the Pokemons' names. And watching them trying to use an S.S. Ticket over and over in battle XD How they're making this much progress in a week confounds me... |

My understanding is that at that point the save file will be available for everyone to download, so probably. But at some point they're going to do gen 2, so look forward to that. Oh by the way for those of you who still haven't started following their progress, no seriously what are you doing I even gave you a link for exactly that purpose they're at the Pokémon League. It's not going especially well (shocking nobody), but they did beat Lance once thanks to AATTVVV the (All-Terrain) Venomoth taking out a Dragonite almost 30 levels above it. |

Gen 2 has started.
They're doing Crystal, they are a boy named AJDNNW and the first thing they did upon starting the game was bump into everything in their room, save their game, and spend a couple minutes going up and down the stairs. Also they picked Totodile without hesitation somehow.
