I'm sure most have heard of this... Or at the very least knew the original GunZ. If not then you're not into MMOs so get out of this topic. After many years, this long awaited sequel is finally releasing. Internationally, at least. Korea has had it much longer, but even now it's still a late beta. Europe has had it for a while but they region locked it and apparently it's practically dead there.
Anyway, GunZ is a third person shooter MMO with focus on style and action, best known for acrobatics. Running up walls, running across walls, and sticking onto any wall with your sword. But also add dashing. Air dashes that defy momentum or gravity. The result is a very supernaturally acrobatic shooter, with extremely mobile fighters, and ridiculous mobility and movement freedom once any wall is around.
The sequel comes with new gameplay mechanics, so farewell Kstyle. Lots of canceling, directional air dashing, making your own routes to get anywhere on the map, shooting while running on walls, lots of melee (which is also much improved in this sequel) with air combos, parrying, launching, and blocking bullets...
Well, I'm talking too much, but it's finally here. A true skill-based shooter where the sky's the limit and you can play as you wish with your own stylish playstyles.
The video doesn't do a great job at showing just how freestyle the movement in the game is and how important dashes are in gameplay, and in general just how fast and hectic and technical it is, but it gives a general gist of the game. Oh yeah, there's classes now. Doesn't matter that much, there's still some weapon variety and at the core they're all similar.
Anyway, the game's first international beta is in 2 days.
