I'm honestly not quite sure which section to put this in, but since Sonic's main "place" in the industry is video games, I'll stick this thread here. So Sega had made this agreement with nintendo that they would make three nintendo system exclusives for them. This is one of those three, but it branches a bit further than that. Sonic Boom is also going to be a TV series (the fourth for him, and the first CG-animated one), a game, and it's own toy-line and it is all for the western countries. The entire thing is being created by the creators of the Crash Bandicoot series and the uncharted series, both of which are good in their own right. They've also made some rather major character design changes, especially on Knuckles. The TV show will be airing in late 2014/2015 and the game's release date will most likely be around the same time. The game seems to be similar to some of the older sonic games, but you actually have four playable characters, each with varying abilities, and the game also has quite an emphasis on exploration (good thing too, these environments look absolutely beautiful.) Here is the Game Trailer, and here is the TV trailer.I'm actually pretty excited to see how they do this. Give me your thoughts as well.

My thoughts? I remember hearing about this when all there was was that above picture but with only their shadows and it was hilarious. The actual characters now don't look too bad, but my first thought was Clamp. Knuckles is still hilarious.

Knuckles may look hilarious (I won't deny it.) but when you think about it the stocky build is more accurate than a short guy with big fists with tons of strength.
