It broke. I opened it up to see what it is and, if you open up a gamecube controller you'll find that the larger control stick has a small cylinder of plastic that fits right over a metal rod, so as to keep the control stick in place and able to maneuver the controls right. However my plastic cylinder snapped in half and so now The metal rod has nothing to slide into. I need to someone get the plastic cylinder back onto the control stick and fit the rod inside. I was thinking something like Play-doh, but wouldn't crack when it got dry? Any ideas?
PS: The Gamestop near me doesn't sell Gamecube controllers anymore... so I really do need a makeshift fix.

I don't really know what it looks like and how big it is but would a plastic toy ring fit? (You know, like for kids dress-up)

I solved the problem ^_^ I was able to get a new controller... but there's syrup inside I think or something because my B and my Y button's are so soft that I can barely feel them and they stick occasionally, plus when you move the D-pad it's extremely soft and you can see something brown-colored in there.... uggh I don't even wanna know..

I've had my GC since one day prior to the PAL release, and my original controller is functioning A+. I learned a long time ago to not pry up stuff, as they will most certainly ( around 95% of the time) break.

What did you try to pry up? Or are you referring to me and my controller? Lol.

I was cleaning one of my PS1 controllers. It totally died with that, despite me putting it back exactly the way it was. Maybe it needed all that dust n' dirt, I dunno...
I have taken other stuff apart too, and many wouldn't function properly anymore.
In short: a good advice is to not take stuff apart that you care about/wanna keep. The high risk of it breaking is just not worth it.

If you have a bank account, make an account on Amazon. My friend say's they sell Gamecube Controllers for 70p (and about £1 postage and packaging)
Also you live in the UK don't you?

New Hampshire is located in New England which is in America True, unless there's some other place called New Hampshire. I don't quite get what this has to do with Loopy's post or this topic in general.

Well, I assumed Loopy was talking about Saigo, as the post was directed at him and he said that he lived in the UK. Unless he's talking about Admin in which case, I'm also sure that Admin lives in the UK.
