Aside from the fact I know people/have read stuff that, give me varying opinions about them, from being pure team filler, to being outright amazing.
Personally, I'm a little of both. I mean, I've found a lot of Death Borgs that are actually quite useful; Omega II, Beta III, Nu III, Death Bomb, Zeta II, etc. Then you have stuff like Delta, Gamma, and Zeta III who are a little on the random side. Then you have the oddballs like Nu and Mu. Then there's Chi. Obnoxious to fight against, and also make for an interesting Borg.
Of course, I'm disregarding the ever-so-amazing Sigma/Sigma II, and the badass Iota.
So, GFF, whats you opinion on the main protagonist's minions?

Aside from their depressing HP and defense, most are actually somewhat usable, considering you can play without getting hit.
They're the typical cannon fodder, but a true super pilot can really put up a fight. Of course, some are surprisingly good in some aspects. But a death eye won't be doing anything even if you're a newtype.
Generally, the slim bipedal types can play more like Normal Ninjas and have decent survivability if you can dodge well.

For the most part they're basically hard mode. "Sure, you can Hammer Robot pretty well, but can you do it with only 100 HP?" But a death eye won't be doing anything even if you're a newtype. Hey I'll have you know the Death Eye is the most cost-effective Borg around for countering Roaches and god-awful Beta unit AI. You're looking for Nu II for all your literally useless Death Borg needs.

Personal favorites are Alpha II, Delta II, Zeta II, and Sigma II. Apparently I really like the number II. The others are either average or bad imo.

Do you really think Omega 2/4 are bad, or did you just forget them? I'm personally a fan of Iota, Theta, Beta 2, Delta 2, Omega 2, Sigma 2, Lambda 2, Zeta 4, Omega 4, and Nu 3. Gamma is cool, but his shield is too small to be useful, really.

I seem to recall Omega III and IV having a slightly long reload time so I'm not really a fan of that. Iota is fun just because she plays so differently from any other borg, but she also suffers from long reload time with no other way to attack. Beta II is okay, but I don't use Revolver Gunman too much. Lambda II is like a worse Sigma II, but that's still pretty good; I'd use her if I don't have the extra 30 GF energy. Zeta IV is good. Nu III is at least better than I and II, but the movement problem is too much for me to ignore.

Fair points, though Lambda 2 is, if I recall, stronger than sigma, as bullets, while slower, do more damage. So she has that going for her. As for Nu 3, in a 1v1 environment, movement doesn't mean much if you can keep your distance, which is far from impossible due to buster laser's incredible accuracy and speed. Either way, DE summed Death borgs up incredibly well.

My personal favorite is the one with bullets for hands. Beta 1 maybe? Idr its the downgrade of the revolver gunman knock off one. It is my fav because it is so utterly useless its fantastic. And it dies in like one hit from everything. Even copymans charge attack thing (exageration... prolly...)

I have a thing for Theta even though my evasion skills are so bad I can't make much use of her. But as all Death Borgs, Theta is probably much more cost-effective than her Gotcha Borg counterparts if you can avoid getting hit :3 I agree with Death Eye's "hard mode" approach. Though if you master them, you get the lowered cost as an added bonus. And there's just this great satisfaction you get when you defeat a Death Borg Omicron as a Death Eye. I mean, come on.

well i think they are like the chais of a borg. Eg beta 2 is a basic gunner, beta 1 is a basic knuckle borg and etc. They are cheap to use. god i love alpha 1 for taking out titan robot

beta 1 is a basic knuckle borg Unarmored Metal Hero, actually. Obviously with noticeable differences, but most of his moves are the same as unarmored Metal Hero's.

isnt an unarmored metal hero a basic knuckle borg anyway The Knuckle Borgs are the Divers, Copy Man, Walking Bomb, Kung-Fu Master, and Tao Master. I'm not sure how you have a basic Knuckle Borg in the first place, but unarmored Metal Hero isn't it.

I think he means "similar to Kung-Fu Master." Even then, they're pretty significantly different. Also why haven't I moved this to the Borg Discussion section yet? EDIT: Wait what's going on here why is it in both sections-POINT OF ADVICE- Don't let your web browser load cached pages. Ever.

Who knows But i will say that the hero borgs (sans jet hero) play like upgraded knuckle borgs. So i could see the comparison. But well, idk, i still say that one is my fav death borg.

I am amazed at how rare a drop Death Borgs are. They're just the little dudes the AI throws at you to make your life difficult. Do I keep fighting the strong borg that the enemies have thrown at me and take constant chip damage from a squad of Death Borgs? Or can I afford to turn around and take them out?
