I have no idea where I would properly place a thread like this, so if you can find a more appropriate one, then please move this thread for me; Thanks. Then again, unless your playing IRL, then your likely playing it on some online version, hence, why I placed this topic in video games.
OBLIGATORY CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES COMMENT.
But in all seriousness, though, anyone else here play this game? Reason I bring it up is cuz' I get the feeling a bunch of us play this game. That, or I'm just assume we all do.

A few of us were into it at some point or another, I'm sure. I don't think there's anyone really up to date or playing online... Besides me. Could be wrong though, but no one's been too vocal about it.
I haven't played in a while, but it hasn't been that long. I play it on YGOPro, which is really good and constantly updated before even the newest cards are out in stores, and it has a very nice interface that's basically like the console games.
I mainly run a synchron/machine deck with a few Xyzs. It's kinda hard to have a mixed deck and have it be competitive, but I think mine actually cuts it decently for what it is, nice synergy between all the machines and draw power for a mixed thing. It's kinda a jack of all trades, master of none.
I also have a Morphtronic deck, which is pretty cookie cutter... But I love them and it's an efficient deck. Used to be my main. And a Karakuri deck. Fun little position switching robots.
And that's mostly it... Played Constellars for a bit but they don't work at all with any other archetype and rely on all the same combos... I tried a Konami equip deck (ships), but it was pretty ineffective. I'm satisfied with my mech deck, but I've always wanted to try something else, like Morphtronic/Vylon or some other combo of machines, but I guess the game's too strict for that...
Oh, Alector Soverign of Birds is probably my favorite card. Dunno why I rarely hear of it... It's a real decent card besides looking amazing. It's like an Effect Veiler that works during each of your turns, packs a decent punch, and can even special summon itself a lot of times because the game's so swarm-heavy.
I once tried to make a fairy deck, centered on Alector, Kristya, and... Darklord Archfiend something? Actually don't remember the name... But it also has beautiful red wings. Anyway, it didn't work.
And I guess that's the only thing I have to say.

I have the deck of actual cards i had when i was like 12-13? Its in storage because i really havent played in ages. That and well ive kinda lost the interest i had in it. I mean i enjoyed the game, and when five ds introduced synchros i was like "okay, easier fusion summons. Im okay with this." Then they came out with xyzs... idk how they work really because i watched the first episode of zexal and hated it.
I had the five ds game on my xbox, but the AI in that is so broken i cant get passed the first tourney. So i think i deleted it.

Never really got into it that deep, myself. I have a deck put together somewhere, and I remember looking at it and being surprised at how slightly-competent it was for being probably almost a decade old, but that's all I remember of that.
I also have a copy of Duelists of the Roses for PS2 which is still literally the best video game they made of this, and I played World Championship 2006 in an emulator for a while and had an okay time with it. Mostly used an Exodia deck because they give you so many points for winning with Exodia that there's hardly any reason to use anything else, but I also messed around with Wave-Motion Cannon among other things until I noticed the game really only cares if you use Exodia.

Clax, you sound like me, in the sense that we would play decks that look good on paper, and see what happens. Metal, Xyzs are very easy. Your just stacking monsters on top of eachother, and follow the requirements for what they say on the cards. Also they have Ranks. Ranks aren't Levels, so anything Level related has no effect on Xyz monsters. Wc06; So damn good.

I think we have a yugioh thread somewhere... but i think that might've been in the chit chat area. I still play, and my decks are up to date (kind of... ). I usually just duel with my brothers, but I go to the card shop every now and then. The last time I got on Dueling Network was last year, though. I love using deck with cards I like/interesting concepts. Currently my decks are: 1. Ice Barriers!!! 2. Blue-eyes White Dragon 3. Madolche 4. Fortune Ladies ooooh Claxus Morphthronics are a fun deck! They swarm the field really fast, and the OTK is fun to use ^^ I am also of the opinion that the Zexal MC is a complete wimp, which is why I stopped watching it

So long as we're talking about the game and not the anime, here is best. Still it feels like we should have a thread for this already but I'm not sure. Oh well.
Everyone around me used to play this game on the playground and I never saw the appeal. Probably because I was already hooked on the gamecube, but more likely than that, I was just an even more quiet and anti-social child so I wasn't in to multiplayer. This is why I got into pokemon much later than I probably should have. So yeah, didn't play it then and I still haven't played it in any form now. I still watched the anime when it was on though and I was bored out of my mind at grandmas.

I have fond memories of opening YGO booster packs and trading cards with friends. I'm pretty sure I have my old Toon World deck somewhere.

Fortune Ladies are such a troll deck. But they are enjoyable for the fact that their effects all play off one another.

But they are enjoyable for the fact that their effects all play off one another. yep ^^ it's funny when I start bouncing my future visions, and things stay removed from play XD

I started playing this again recently. Holy mecharoli. Game rule changes. First player to go doesn't draw a card on their first turn, and both players can have a field spell at the same time.
Probably as a result, Dragon Ravine got hit by the banlist... Well, it was a really good card anyway. Wait, not just limited? From unlimited to straight out banned?! That destroys the entire Dragunities archetype! Sure, synchro summoning level 6s and 8s literally every turn from turn 1 was a big deal, but that was their only strong point! Without that field spell it's just a lucky draw deck with no synergy with itself... Yeah, I maimed a Dragunity/Blackwing deck as my serious-business deck.
Okay, there was a third rule change, but it didn't wow me nearly as much as the other two to remember... But in the end, I've come up with a brand new deck to replace Dragunities/Blackwings. Ninja/Blackwings deck! It has some other Winged Beasts, like Alector (my favorite card!) and Dark Simirgh among other nice touches. The whole deal is it functions like a Blackwings deck, and has level changing ninjas for Xyz/Synchro, and a trap card that tributes a ninja for any Winged Beast in my deck/hand with their level +3 or lower... I can summon Hanzo, use his effect to get the transformation trap, then I can summon Alector/Dark Simorgh and virtually any Winged Beast in the deck!
Okay, probably no one cares... So I'm going to leave it at that. But it has amazing synergy and the ability to summon any monster I need out of nowhere, plus it's Ninjas and Blackwings! So fun and effective.
Last thing, coincidentally, I just found out there's a new Yu-Gi-Oh! Series. ARC-V I think it was. Gotta say from the opening, it looks great and back to the true YGO style. What does this being? Pendulum Monsters! The next new and exciting thing. Monsters that go on new card slots on both sides of your field, and have special pendulum effects, and summons, which... Is weird. You need two pendulum monsters on the sudes, and they have pendulum scale numbers. You can pendulum summon monsters with a level between those numbers. Or something like that. Pendulum cards are half green in the bottom. Anyway, it's not officially out yet, but it's new and exciting.
Anyone still into this? I'd like to duel on YGOPro.

Hmmm I wonder why they changed the rules... Also the field spell thing is a CRAZY rule. Looks like I'll just be siding that Ancient Fairy, again I still play, but I don't have YGOpro, and I can't play until the weekend...
