Now that Animal Crossing: New Leaf is released, I think it is about time that a topic related to the unique game series is created. So I would like to know of people who have played Animal Crossing or are still playing, what fond memories they have of the game, and if they are playing New Leaf, what their friend code is and how they are enjoying the game.

Been playing New Leaf since it released. Pretty good so far, but I gotta say the game really forces you to wait a lot... Tomorrow I should finally hit 100% approval, and then I'll have to wait until the next day again... Overall it feels really limited right now, as you start with almost nothing, and everything unlocks slowly day by day... And the shop upgrades and new shops... Those are all like 2+ weeks away.
Still, it's decent right now. Pretty sure I unlock the island tomorrow so that's gonna be a decent amount of new stuff to do finally. Anyway, my FC is 0146-8714-8870.

Animal Crossing; Sweet Days is superior to the actual series. Also, I never shook trees as a kid playing the original. Sure there were bells, but...The bees... oh god THE BEES. I'm actually severely allergic to bee and wasp stings, and to this day I can't bring myself to ever shake the trees again. ...I don't care if I can deflect them with an umbrella, I just can't bring myself to do it. Also, are Gyroids still around? Most of my house was made up of those. That said, I am a fan of the old series, but just like how I didn't get wild world or city folk...I don't plan to get new leaf. If I see some really positive comments and get interested by the gameplay, I might, but i doubt it.

If I see some really positive comments and get interested by the gameplay, I might, but i doubt it. Ugh, I felt the same as a kid, minus the part about being severely allergic to bees stings. Even nowadays I am still a little apprehensive when shaking trees and sometimes jump a little when I see something like a bell drop. As for the gyroids, from the gameplay videos I have seen, they seem to still be in but I haven't gotten any yet. I recall on a FAQ of a previous AC game I read a while back said that gyroids are more likely to appear the day after it rains, and it is raining in my town today so I might be seeing gyroids tommarow. As for Claxus, I can understand your feeling that the game is slow paced. I admit, even though I feel all the AC games have been like that in a sense, this is a little more then others. This is why I recommend Animal Crossing be played only a little bit each day because you can burn yourself out on playing multiple hours a day unless if you have a lot of friends to play with. My friend code by the way is 0216-1610-1113

The game comes out tonight in my region and I've never once played an animal crossing, not even at a friends. Closest I've gotten to animal crossing was harvest moon and rune factory, which I liked to a certain extent. Even so, this weekend I'll be at my grandmas so I'll have reduced game and internet access, and I was wondering if it was worth buying to keep me sane. Although apparently its supposed to be kinda slow, so perhaps something else...? I mean I may be getting a new game on the sunday (my birthday) but that wont help saturday. Despite that, I want to know if its a good game in general. I hear positivity everywhere, but even so I felt it was necessary to ask here.
