It's a thing. I would find and post some links to where to watch it, but the Microsoft suicide by angry mob conference apparently is in less than 8 hours and I need to sleep. Here, have a link. That link is applicable for just about anything that isn't the Nintendo thing or the streaming I think I read Capcom's doing at some point. "Eh, whatever, I really don't care about anything that could possibly be-" What about now?"We've seen things like this before, it'll probably be some thing we don't really care about." It's a thing regardless. So prepare your faces, it may or may not get interesting. Probably not, of course, but you won't want to go into this without your face prepared if it does. Don't ask why, just accept it as a cold hard fact like everything else I say.

Watched some of Microsoft's stuff... yeah, none of their exclusives are the least bit interesting to me. Lets move onto the interesting guys already.

So for those of you who didn't notice this thread until after it ended, the Microsoft thing happened. To recap: - Shooters
- Killer Instinct is now a zombie under Microsoft's command, not unlike Rare as a whole
- Insomniac is a shadow of its former self and is making a shooter that doesn't take itself seriously (a long overdue thing, but not one that'll be good in all likelihood)
- Dead Rising 3 for PS4
- That one shooter with jetpack parkour and the somewhat large mecha that appear to play exactly like being on foot and all look alike
- Shooters
- No, seriously, well over a third of the presentation was various shooters
Is that it? I think I covered everything. Anyway, EA's thing is in 5 minutes, if I'm not mistaken. Expect to see a crapton of sports and also Battlefield 4 because shooters.

Titanfall seems like a refreshingly new concept for a shooter, at least. It's looking pretty alright.

EA's thing is done. - Sports, Battlefield, more Titanfall, Plants vs. Zombies turned into a third-person thing, Dragon Age Inquisition comes out in like a billion years, blah, blah, blah
- STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT SOMETHING!
- ^Read that again twice and pretend I overenthusiastically repeated it. As much crap as I tend to give shooters, Battlefront II was a good game and you should be excited to see how many terrible modern shooter conventons EA needlessly shoehorns into this next one.
- Oh and also Mirror's Edge 2 or something.
Ubisoft's thing is in about 40 minutes.

The main thing I saw was 'Ryse' a roman thing that looked a bit like heavy rain if it were the movie 300, and graphics that could be easily replicated on current gen consoles. Goddamn it western game industry.
Ubisoft, here's the deal: Beyond good and evil 2. That is all.

I'm pretty sure I missed the end of the Ubisoft thing, which would of course mean that it's done. - That South Park game still exists
- They're apparently making a new Rocksmith or something
- Rayman Legends also still exists
- They're making some online multiplayer driving game sort of thing
- They also have an online multiplayer TPS sort of thing
- That's pretty much all I saw of their thing but they probably set a Q3 2013 release date on another Assassin's Creed because we definitely need more of them
Sony's thing is in a little under 2 hours at the time of this post.

Angry at ubisoft for no beyond good and evil 2, but whatever, I had ignored watchdogs until now but it sounds legitimately awesome on paper, and its on Wii U and 360 so I'll probably get that one. Otherwise, even though I'm growing fond of the south park tv series, I didn't care about anything else on show.

Sony's thing is done. Way too many games to list, Kingdom Hearts 3, Versus XIII is now FFXV, PS4 costs $399 and supports used games, gg Microsoft, whoever thought backspace should work like alt-left occasionally should go jump off a cliff.
Nintendo thing in like 10 hours.

Excited for nintendo, aside from Rayman Legends everything else has been garbage. Hoping to see more on the new Yoshi's Island game(not the Yoshi's yarn thing), Smash 4, the new LoZ game coming out on 3ds, and maybe something else interesting. *Crosses fingers for a new F-Zero game.* * Knows it will never happen.*

... I think sony may just 'win' this year. Kingdom hearts 3 and digs against Microsoft's policies= awesome.
Oh, and final fantasy vs XIII Always sounded pretty good on paper, and now I realize that final fantasy XV may just be legitimately awesome. I was asleep during Sony's press conference, but I just saw the trailers, and were there any other games worth mentioning? I honestly feel like the no used games and such sound good enough, games being only the icing on the cake. Which reminds me I think the blazblue cp will be developed exclusively for PS4 (or maybe it was PS3... I hope not) either way, looks like Sony and Nintendo are the way to go. Hopefully tales of Xillia 2 will be localized and available on their PS3 streaming service, or perhaps even straight up ported with enhanced features... anyway, I'm quite pleased with Sony. Then again their only job was to not be Microsoft, which isn't too hard in terms of presentation (since game consoles before already weren't Microsoft, Microsoft had to work hard to be dicks!) and of course as a bonus japanese developers seem to like their consoles exclusively, so there's that. People say that the console market may die... nah, Nintendo may have had a rocky start with Wii U, but mainstays and smash bros will disprove that (as well as the great games coming out on 3DS) and sony are already building good will. Things looked bleak for a moment there, and perhaps I'm speaking too soon but... things are looking up, if only because of Microsoft's demise.

Nintendo's thing is done (and has been for a while, actually). - Mario Kart 8 has courses more oddly-shaped than that clock one from Crash Nitro Kart, combines 7's stuff with bikes
- There's a new DKC coming, but there's not much to say about that aside from Dixie Kong's making a comeback
- Pokémon now has a Fairy type, which is being applied to Sylveon, Gardevoir, Jigglypuff, and Marill, among others. It's strong against Dragons for some reason.
- Super Mario 3D World is the NSMBW to 3D Land and also has a cat form
- Wonderful 101's getting a Nintendo Direct dedicated to it
- X is as much a thing as it was before and no more
- Bayonetta got a haircut for the sequel
- Wind Waker HD's got a replacement for the Tingle Tuner or whatever
- Whole bunch of third-party and downloadable games
- I feel like I'm forgetting something...
- Hm...
- Nope, I think that's it.
- Oh right there's also SSB which is getting the Animal Crossing guy as a new character for some reason.
- Also Mega Man's in it, but come on, who cares about that?
Anyway, Capcom's going to be streaming stuff over the next 3 days. Their schedule and a link to their Twitch TV page can both be found here. Aside from that I have no idea what's left at E3, so that's probably about it for the news in this thread.
