As we venture forth into the next generation of video game consoles, I've decided that I'm staying out of it, sticking with previous consoles. However, I find myself being drawn more and more towards the PC gaming world, such as Steam and whatnot. I know there a multitude of choices when it comes to gaming PCs, and from what I've researched so far, the best I can get is almost $2000. Obviously, I don't want to spend that much if I don't need to. So, if anyone has any suggestions as to a gaming PC setup, I would be very grateful.

well i dont know much for gaming computers but i guess you would want top performance. in the uk you can get a Witch book thing, which they test PCs so that would be a good place to go (its about £2). but i can rule out an Advent laptop (i have one) as it has a hard time running dolphin and gotcha force.

multitude of choices when it comes to gaming PCs AMD or NVidia? Intel or AMD?
Bam, buy a compatible motherboard, a case, PSU, disk drive, some memory, and a couple sticks of RAM. Where you can look is Newegg.com, they have a pretty good catalog and it's good for eyeballing how much you'd need to shell out at a brick and mortar store.
Now, you don't have to build your own PC, but you're honest to goodness wasting money otherwise (unless you find a really good sale).
