I love paper mario! Sticker star was, however, a disappointment. I agree on that, sticker star innovated for the wrong things and just failed. j ok then, why post in a thread about mario if you don't like mario games? It's just like you're trying to be a troll. |

There's about 15 different genres. The only 3d ones i like are the rpgs and sunshine. And shunshine isnt all that great. I hate the plaforming ones. All off them. Also hate super mario 64, galaxy, galaxy 2 (why is there a 2?) And anything generally that isnt an rpg. That said paper mario is cool. Except for the wii ones. Meh i say to them |

Sunshine has exploration elements to it and is 3D for most of it. As far as decent platformers such as metroid and castlevania i love those. I think it has something to do with marios stupid inability to attack without a power up. Oh i also like megaman also a platformer... |

I thought the correct term for castlvania and metroid was 'metroidvania' because they're sidescrollers focused on non-linear exploration.
Anyway I like platformers. Mario sunshine is my favorite non-RPG mario. Thousand year door is my favorite M-RPG and super paper mario was pretty excellent for it's inventiveness and awesome story.
Also isn't the game your playing right now, J, MGS3, a game with only one mode? I don't think it even has a multiplayer... it had a gallery if I recall but otherwise it was the story and thats it. Even the paper mario games had some deviations in gameplay, such as the minigames in super, but MGS3 uses the same gameplay style throughout.
Not that MGS3 is bad. I loooooooove MGS3, just an example.

(love how he says paper mario over TTYD) My personal favorites were Vivian, Koops, and Ms. Mowz. Ms. Mowz simply because she can steal rare badges from enemies. Also, I'm replaying TTYD. I found a random HP plus P from going into the pit of 100 trials (for zap tap) and it's helping GREATLY. EDIT: ...so I'm in boggly woods, walking in an area where enemies can't attack me. Just messing around, I use Koops' shell. The jump height from doing that sends me into a hidden block, giving me the one P-Down, D-Up P badge that exists. ...I never knew this even existed! |
