It's a rather complicated RPGish platformy thing that you play on your computer. It's also really hard, apparently. Since I'm terrible at describing things, here's the TVTropes page, here's the creator's blog with the download links on the side, and here's some random playlist I just found of Raocow's LP of it. (Oh, and it runs perfectly fine on my computer, so chances are it'll work on yours, too.)

Looks fun from what little I've seen so far. I might check it out. And the only videos on the dev's youtube channel besides Distorted Travesty are 1cc Touhou runs. Uh oh...

I think I'll play, just because it uses sprites from Jump Ultimate Stars... Which, you may have seen me post edited sprites from, in some parts of this forum.

As it turns out, it's a pretty impressive and fun game. Controls were pretty annoying, but I just set the controls on my gamepad with Xpadder and it's been much more fun. Playing on the normal difficulty, it isn't 'really hard' at all, but there are two higher levels to play on. You know, Dethy, the game's sarcastic humor kinda reminds me of you... The author side-comments, and Jeremy's comments when you scan enemies. i.imgur.com/a7ptKTS.pngIt's pretty fun, like a more actiony Castlevania game set in different 2D game worlds. And lots of funny dialogue while playing. I also really like how when you pause, there's a different quote on every map. Surprisingly good and serious quotes considering the nature of the game, I even found two quotes I have on my Hall of Quotes.txt. But I didn't even notice 'till now that there's a comment on every map at the top bar of the game window... I think I'm gonna start over and speed through again to take a screenshot of every area screen paused, to save the quotes. I just finished the first Castlevania place, at the mansion now.

Personally, I used Joy2Key and mapped the mouse to my PS3 controller's right analog stick. It works perfectly. Yeah, it is pretty much my kind of humor, I suppose. Except for the part where the game's humor is actually humorous. Oh, and you should probably check the stat screens at some point. There are some hilariously useless statistics in there. I watched a bit of Raocow's LP a while back, so I already knew about the title bar comments. Which is good, because I never would've noticed them otherwise. I entirely forgot about the quotes, though. If you're only up to that point, you probably won't be saying that by the end. Keyword: "probably," because I stopped playing after getting the second... let's just call it a thing so as not to possibly spoil a maximum of one joke for anyone who reads this post. Anyway, yeah, stopped playing after getting the second one because about two screens before it I hit a wall of lag for the duration of that screen, meaning my computer is apparently a pile of crap that isn't actually good enough to handle the game in its entirety. Or maybe the game just lags there, I don't know.

Just finished that speedrun with screencapping all the quotes. I really must have taken my time before... Took about 30-40 minutes to get back to the mansion, when my first time through it was like 4 hours. I actually got stuck for a bit in the first extra stage for some reason (and didn't even have any quotes), which I breezed through the first time around. But yeah, since I'm actually much earlier in than it felt like, I'll see if it does become more difficult later. Or maybe my Castlevania skills just make it easy. I used Joy2key before, but Xpadder is essentially the same thing, except it lays out the buttons visually, so you just click on them and bind a key to them, rather than trying to figure out what numbers your buttons are. I did also set the mouse to the right analog. Actually, I did notice the stats, too. And I was wondering if they served any purpose, before realizing they're just there for kicks. Edit: i.imgur.com/N0YqPTN.jpgGuess I'm doing that run again...

I think Xpadder glitched itself or something. What, were you playing in fullscreen or something? That looks like a problem that shouldn't happen, especially not in windowed mode.

I was playing windowed... Using Fraps to take screenshots. I really don't know why it happened, but Fraps is to blame. Like in my other post, I print screen'd the starting screen just fine.
I think it's just something to do with DirectX, which is what Fraps works on. The 2 second video I accidentally recorded of it also shows up the same way. I'm pretty sure it's something to do with how the game handles DDraw settings, so it can't really be helped I guess. I'll just have to make a Hall of Distorted Travesty Quotes.txt.

Why would you use Fraps to take screenshots? It should only take a maximum of 10 seconds to save a screenshot with the Print Screen if you have Paint open. Should just be a matter of PrtSc-Alt+Tab-Ctrl+V-Ctrl+Shift+S-[file name]-Enter-Alt+Tab, unless Ctrl+Shift+S doesn't open Save As in Paint.

Fraps makes that process as simple as a split second by just hitting Print Screen and keep playing. You say it like it's a bad thing. Even if it is, in this particular case. But it's great in general. I'd rather just type the quotes though, if I'm going to be saving every picture manually.
