Just finished it, and wow... That's really all I can say without spoiling too much of the story.
And really, the story is what it's all about. Gameplay-wise it's set up as a RPG, but it's feels more like a point and click adventure with occasional mini games. Replay value? Not too much.
But what makes this game great isn't the gameplay at all. If not for the story, this game wouldn't be a good game at all. The story is what makes this game, and what a story it is. Almost feels a bit Inception-y at times.
Also the music is absolutely beautiful. Just listen to it.
It's currently at 50% off for the Steam Autumn Sale. Not a bad game for 5 bucks.
Even if you don't play it, watching a LP will still probably give you 75% of the experience. The gameplay that you're missing out on isn't as important to the game as other games where the main point is the gameplay itself. Like Gotcha Force for example.
Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts have peculiar jobs: They give people another chance to live, all the way from the very beginning... but only in their patients' heads.
Due to the severity of the operation, the new life becomes the last thing the patients remember before drawing their last breath. Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives, but didn’t.
This particular story follows their attempt to fulfill the dream of an elderly man, Johnny. With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny's past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the puzzled events that spanned a life time, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish to be what it is.
And Johnny's last wish is, of course... to go to the moon.
