The series focuses on two twins: Dipper and Mabel Pines who get sent to live with their Great Uncle Stan in hicktown tourist trap Gravity Falls, Oregon for the summer. It seems like it'll be a boring summer, but Dipper finds a mysterious book that suggests Gravity Falls may not be what it seems.

Going with the theme of mystery, the show itself has a bunch of hidden secrets and easter eggs hidden in the episodes as well. And since the series is in the middle of the first season, there's still some stuff that we're not quite sure about, which only makes it even more exciting.

Oh hey, we have a thread for this. I've been watching since the beginning; it's a pretty great show(probably one of the few good things left on Disney Channel.)
By the way, the season 1 finale was tonight. Pretty crazy, really good.

I've heard Season 2 confirmed one of the fandom's theories, but I haven't watched it yet.

It definitely confirmed a major fan theory, and you should definitely watch it
If nothing else, skip to season 2 episodes 11-12 so you can have the background info to watch episode 13, which is basically the best episode ever, made only more glorious by the fact that it rides on numerous nerd references (and has Weird Al in it)

Started watching Gravity Falls last week out of curiosity+lots of time, and I've finally caught up.

IT'S SOOO GOOOOOOD.

The crazy mindblow part in Season 2 was amazing, but i think my favorite one's season 2 episode 15 xD

Haha yeah there's a real nice balance between mystery, comedy, and feels. Nice colorful characters with awesome character development. The creativity and continuity matches that of Rick and Morty, and they managed to keep it PG

There is no coincidence that the creator of this show is friends with the creator of Rick and Morty, and I love that one easter egg they share together
