The story takes place on the small island of Regalo in the Mediterranean Sea. The island has been protected by a vigilante committee called "Arcana Famiglia". The members of the family have psychic powers gained by a secret ritual. Felicita is a 16-year-old girl who was raised by her strict mother. She visits Regalo to see her father who is the head of Arcana Famiglia. He tells her to become the leader of "Serie of Sword", the arbitrator section of the family. As one of the members of Arcana Famiglia, Felicita interacts with other handsome but eccentric members.
A rather new anime, it seems pretty interesting and I plan to watch it. 11 episodes so far. Just thought I'd mention it.

So I just watched the first episode. This is a very promising anime. It's got the sort of humor and action that makes me think of Soul Eater. It's got a heavy focus on the "tarot cards" or the different arcanas. It's truly a very good concept, and while it shares some points with Soul Eater, seems very original, and very good.

Sorry I dont feel like testing the waters with this but I am pleasantly engaged to welcome to the NHK, we're planning the wedding sometime next week when I finish watching and we may watch this together during our honey moon sometime after that. In the meantime, me and the NHK are going to enjoy the last slivers of freedom before we get tied down to each other... passionately. *winks* Alright I getter get back before it gets... even better.

It helps me decide if they are worth watching (if I'm boarder lining where or not to watch it.) (And dont mix me up with those anime only fanboys of SAO. I was a fan way before it was an anime. )

I wont even begin to go into everything that is wrong with that statement... thats a lie, I began, spent about half hour typing, then decided against it... anyway, SAO is overrated due to an amazing first episode and fans coming in from the LN. The fans aren't particularly rabid, in fact most of the fans are the LNers, who mostly complain that it's not a perfect adaption even though I think it's not too bad. SAO excels in immersion, like the menu screens, basically general visuals cues, environments, character design, and of course a great soundtrack. You wont GET why people like SAO from a synopsis because that doesn't tell you about these things. The main story is somewhat ok, but it's the immersion and the great characters that people watch for. There is always a good reason that something is overrated, and if you want me to give you an insulting psycho analysis (Likely filled with lots of swear words) of why you decided to read a synopsis as opposed to, I dunno, WATCHING THE ANIME to judge it and it's fanbase, ask and I shall PM you. Although I bet you wont... in which case this will just have to wait for later when my psycho analysis will just be... incomprehensible rage.

^For your info I did watch this "amazing first episode." The concept is mediocre and the general concept of a immersion MMO was done better with .hack (and in quantum it actually had a decent amount of time outside the anime, unlike SAO, where they're stuck.) The characters are bland, the female lead is generic and annoying, and the idea of every girl falling over this same average guy is getting irritating. VERY irritating. It does have good animation, but it's general concept has been done better, the characters are unmemorable (I could remember every name in soul eater after episode 1. I can't with SAO.) and the story just doesn't feel realistic anymore.

You guys are way off topic.
---
Nova's the only character I find interesting. Well, Debito too. I mean, with a name like that and all. And he is a gambler.
But the plot progression isnt really great. I've kept up with this anime, and it isnt what you expect, especially with the first ep being the way it is. And I mean that in a bad way....
But then again, otome-game. Shouldn't have expected a lot of action.
---
And on the off topic, The Light Novel was better. Case closed. And iDunno what you guys are talking about in "main story" The first eight episodes were nothing but side stories. The real story of SAO started in ep 9. (stupid chronological order messing with a perfectly good story >_>)

^I was told by someone on another forum to watch up to episode 9 since the others are just side stories. That's what I've been doing this afternoon. I still say it's overrated.
Also, Nova and debito are also my favorites. I still think this is a good anime.

I'm not saying it is bad. Just different from what the first episode presented.
I'm all up for watching something different than my norms. I do it every season. I pick out something that specifically doesnt suit me, and give it a try.

Watched the first episode of this... it's fine, but I hate tsundres. The arcana part will either make or break the show for me. So far they only seem to be taking them at face value, ie, making the character with the fool arcana an idiot, when the fool is supposed to represent infinite possibilities. Basically what I'm saying is that since this thing uses tarot cards, it's characters better be up to snuff with the likes of persona because now it's going to be a constant point of comparison for me regardless of it's own merits. So far the vibe I'm getting is pandora hearts, characters are quite similar to them. Blonde haired oblivious protagonist, check, tsundre main character, check, and... Luca, was it? Looks like gilbert. Oh, also, what is up with papa? As in, he only seems to want an heir and so far the girl seems determined to leave the family, thats all fine and good but she joined the arcana famigila at the very least of her own free will and now wants out. And, instead of politely requesting freedom should she win, she immediately attacks her father? They portray him as some sort of acehole but I dont get that vibe. This is why I hate tsundres. But whatever... first episode, looks good, but I'm not sold until I've seen more.

^She's not really a tsundere, and if he says something like that, do you REALLY think he'd let her out if she asked politely?
The "idiot" generally becomes more rational.

No, I mean if she entered herself and asked him that if she won she could have her freedom. Yeah asking him right of the bat if she could leave would be ridiculous, your right.
