When the anime first started to air in my country, I watched some episodes but I quickly lost interest due to several factors, one being that the dub voice actors were quite horrible.

I've grown out of the anime, but the game's still fun to pick up and play once in a while.

Yeah i like Pokemon but after they started making new ones i started to like it less and less. The first 151 were the best.

I've always loved pokemon and when I was 3 I used to have a pokemon themed version of every single piece of clothing that I wore. Thats right. Including vests, socks and shoes as well as hats, scarfs, t-shirts, jackets, etc. You name it, I had it.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of the "stats are everything!" games. This franchise seriously needs to get a fighting game out! I would main Mawile and punch things.
Now, I have to say that the anime has some really good points and some really terrible points. Even ignoring that most of the anime is filler.
There are plenty of good battles and Buizel is probably the best character that show has had in a long time. He even went through manly depression already! Heck, he learned Water Pulse specifically to counter Lucario's Aura Sphere (Pulse Bomb in the original; it counts as one of the many "pulse" attacks.). He only tied, but that was still a hadoken-tastic battle! And of course, there's the fact that he beat Pikachu, Zoey's Glameow, and Piplup in quick succession without even breaking a sweat.
On the bad side, they're really getting lazy with the battles too. I mean come on; Swellow getting Thunder armor by taking a continuous Thunder from Pikachu at point-blank? I mean it was rather Shine Spark-ish, but it still was an arse-pull. And while the animation is extremely good, the special effects are just horrible. All the steel attacks have been reduced to glowing limbs, every single attack results in a giant explosion of smoke and the opponent getting covered in dirt rather than looking hurt at all. Not to mention that each episode seems to have its own stock footage to be used over and over again for attacks. This wouldn't be that bad if they executed it better, but the reluctance to show violence really ruins it.
Also, the Mawile and Absol episodes really freaking sucked. What's up with that?
But then again, there WAS that episode with the world's GAR-est strongest Magikarp and its Tackle that was on the same level as Volt Tackle...

Surely Battle Dimension would be 1000 times better if they scrapped Satoshi ( Ash)? It starts out interestingly while centering around Hikari ( Dawn) but it just have to make the main-character-switcharoo.  |

When I was young I used to be quite obsessed with the show. I still have most of the video tapes of all the episodes for the first season. Heck, I have a Pokemon kite! But when they went to Honnen it started to make me lose interest. I about lost all interest when they went to Sinnoh and got the new voice actors. I might give it another try someday though.

Lol the pika pics are funny...i still play the games on occasion, but i have always hated the shows. the games are getting lamer, but its interesting to see each one's mythology contradict the previous ones
(Mew being the original pokemon [RBY], Arceus being the creator of everything[DP], Groundon and Kryogre stuff [RSE], etc)
