Came across this song again today in another thread:
and memories of my GBA came rushing at me. It's funny, I see the cart everyday when I sit down at my desk, but I never get nostalgic. Music IS nostalgia lol.

Oh man, that theme is great. Every now and then I get that song stuck in my head. There's a ton of nostalgic songs out there... Like the whole Hey You Pikachu soundtrack, and tons of other games like Harvest Moon and many older RPGs.
Here's a nostalgic song from Robot Alchemic Drive. The game itself isn't very nostalgic, but this song... It's strangely nostalgic.
And I'll throw in another. This game is actually pretty modern, but this song... Gosh. It reminds me of so many younger times.

If we're talking specifically video game songs... First of all, this: It's a long story. Okay, not really. Basically, back when I was, like, 7 I remembered hearing this song play on levels 71 and 73 (and, by extension, everything else between 71 and 80), then suddenly it was something entirely different that played on those levels, and I was thoroughly confused about that for about a decade until I figured out that this music only plays with the music set to arcade mode and somebody at some point (probably me, in fact) changed the setting. (Of course, my naïve stupidity vivid imagination led me to believe that they remotely modified the game's data after its release. What absurdity!  ) Also this: Because when you suck at a game as a child and eventually get to the end of it, you tend to remember it pretty well. More later, perhaps. |

Good memories
Though I'll never play another HM game lol.
Here's two tracks from Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon on the N64. They're just town themes, but they get stuck in my head all of the time. All of the songs in this game are very memorable and catchy, but I tend to start whistling these while I wash the dishes or something lol.
I will never foget.
It's one heck of a N64 game. If you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend it.

Okay, it's a little young to call it "nostalgic", but it's been so long since I've been to this area that I can easily call it the most nostalgic song I've heard. The Bionis Leg is THE reason why I love Xenoblade. Undoubtedly, that area was some of the best 8 hours of gaming I've had. The sense of exploration, adventure, atmosphere out of the wall, it's all there. Beautiful landscapes, amazing music, it's this song that I'll remember forever.
You can imagine my disappointment as I entered the Ether Mines lol. I've yet to come to an area as perfectly crafted as this one, but I still have a little less than half of the game to go, so who knows. I just know that I love this song, and I love the area it represents, and I will never forget.

^ actually, when I heard that song on the bionis leg, that was when I decided I loved the game. That was on my second day of playing xenoblade, and that was A GOOD DAY. Playing Xenolbade in the bionis leg while listening to colonel sarcasm watch one piece and making fun of the voice acting in the game was one of the best days of my life.
Other than that, I dont really get a particularly nostalgic feeling from anything.
