Due to neglect, the normal Role Play section is currently in danger of being subject of deletion.

If there's any interests at all to Role Play, I suggest starting as soon as possible.

I like the idea of having more then 1 poll in each day. It would be good if Admin could do this more often, but with totally different polls. Of course we will have to help him out with questions from time to time.

Well I disagree, I mean one poll might be good enough for a day. Admin might run out of ideas too quickly if we do more then one poll a day.

Will there be a rp section fro games other than gotcha? I have a megaman/rockman zero original character who needs to do some butt kicking during an altered mm/r z3. Complete with a moment of demented-ness.

There used to be a normal RP board, but that fell apart and became neglected pretty much from the start.

Feel free to start your RP in the existing Gotcha RP section, and if it's a hit, I might re-establish a normal section.

So, in the event that we become capable of trading online (a pipe dream I hope to make a reality via a makeshift solution that will probably have a myriad of flaws but still get the job done), some sort of arrangements will probably have to be made. Perhaps a sub-board or something? Not that it really matters at the moment, as we can't trade yet, but I'm just throwing it out there. And learning that GFF does, in fact, have a suggestion box. A useful bit of info, that is. I may have to remember that in case I have a suggestion of some sort.

Sorry for the double-post, but I don't think I would get opinions quite as fast without putting these ideas in a separate post and I don't think I need to make a new topic for this.
Anyway, I believe I've figured out a decent way of setting all this trading up.

So, first, anyone who wants to trade and happens to have the resources gets a USB Memory Card Adapter like I posted several links to in the Rare Borg topic (an expense that it would be nice to be able to avoid, but I'm not sure if it can be done...).
Then, if possible, we get a separate section somewhere here on GFF for trading purposes. In that section everyone with the ability to trade posts a list of their borgs and data crystals.
Anyone who wants to make a trade negotiates the trade via PM (maybe, or maybe just in the list topic), and once an agreement is reached one of the traders PMs their save file to the other (so that others can't just be cheap about it and take the file themselves. Whether anyone would do it or not, preventing it couldn't hurt), who transfers it to a memory card, does the trade, gets the new file off the memory card, and PMs the post-trade file back.
Of course, to make sure some dishonorable fool doesn't come along and exploit the system, some anti-cheating measures would have to be set up. But the basic ideas are here.

So, what do you think? Like the setup? Have any possible changes you can think of? Any reasonable way of decreasing the expenses necessary to do it? Feedback would be very helpful here, as I'm sure there are probably better ways of doing this, based on the fact that I came up with this setup.

Wouldnt this actually require a blank memory card as well? If you sent your file, the receiver would need a way to save it, right? You wouldnt want to save over your own file would you? You would need another memory card.
