Ill be sure to show you tomorrow, number of parts and what it looks like taken apart ;D also i think you'll be surprised to know base g-red has 57 parts to it mental eh Wow...those models look crap. I never realised how bad the ingame borgs actually looked, they were always dashing around so much they looked fine. But just standing there...they look like so many polygons just lumped together. Nothing against you smithy, just...i never thought that seeing the models close up could make me dislike them more than like them. That said, maybe it's just G Red. At least Vlad looks half decent. Do send me ice valkyrie tomorrow so i can see what it is. I want to see if those developers had the guts to fudge things or not. I didnt expect you to like them lol you've seemed so positive on everything else so far. . . the models look pretty good to be fair and the mesh is good quality, its probably my side that lets it down since i have put none of the original textures on since 1 im lazy 2 dds converter to another format takes time, if i did the textures properly rather than making my own then im pretty sure they would look like the game if not better, either way im happy with the results as i have had good feedback from everyone else. also im resizing the models myself so they might not look 100% perfect on size (but pretty damn close to) the models are originally flat as a pancake so yeah, alot of work from my end i just hope you appreciate them for what they are and be less judgmental, im not having a go i just think they are fine the way they are im not trying to go all out on them.

^(to treadshot, ninja'd) >_> ...... You've seen them just standing around in-game when looking at their stats/analyzing the models when making your own. They're pretty detailed models that are a little jagged, but their textures make up for it anyway (and it's on the GC...made in 2003) They couldn't make every detail in 3D, the game lags enough with the detail and effects they put in already lol. Maybe GF2 will have better models because it'll be two gens after this one and have much better hardware to work with. Imo, they still look great though sounds lengthy but ill do it, i need a good texture ripper and i can make it look perfect but as long as your happy with the way i have made the others ill do the same for you ;D

that reply wasn't directed towards you don't bother yourself with textures on them, I was just defending that the models you ripped arent as detailed because most of the detail went on the texture. but...if you're willing, would you mind ripping a Ring Valkryie in gold? I realize she's already gold lol, but she's not at shiny as the ones you have

I have a 3rd request. Metal hero. Armored form, with his jumpsuit being neonish green, the armor being black with gold accents, the visor part in gold, and the saber in gold if you can get a good pose with the saber. Tho i understand this may not be possible lOl also forgot to mention i can pose them in any position, so thats not a problem and looking again at your request, sounds pretty simple ignore my earlyer post

Heh, it's nothing against you bro. I guess it's a case of... ...you know that feeling you get when you find something you remember from childhood, and it just isn't what you remember it to be? And it has to be so much crappier than what you remember? Yeah, THAT feeling. I guess I always remember GF being so much more...vibrant. Honestly, I didn't even notice those weren't the original textures. Still, do send me an Ice Valkyrie if you have time. It seems like you have the model extracting thing mastered. I just wish the game models looked...well, like how I remember them. Lol

That way youd get the model you wanted. Its foolproof. Ill leave you all to work out the details of how to do that, as im just an idea guy.

Not going anywhere near metalhero's comment. Not touching it with a ten foot pole.
I'd still like an Ice Valykrie, though. Her wings must mean a much higher parts count (as all the ice crystals need to move independently to make her wings look natural as she flies).

I was joking. I wanted to see what treadshot would say. But that would be the most legit technology ever. Anyway, i think they look different because of the textures. I looked closely at the gred he did in gold, and the face looks different from what i remember. Just to make sure i compared it to the gred on gf wiki, and the textures are slightly different.
On a side note, so youd touch it with a pole bigger than 10 feet? *troll face*

Troll: it's LONGER, not bigger, than 10 ft, due to the fact you are only dealing with one dimension. Longer and greater are applicable to one-dimensional parameters, while bigger is only applicable to two or more dimensions.
The textures are certainly missing, and frankly smithy's revealed a pretty weird thing about the models. When I build models, I sculpt details, so my models have screw heads molded onto them, but the models smithy has shown have no such detailing. This means they are textures, not molded screw heads, and the shadows we see are just clever shading. Interesting, and a clever way for the animators to cut down on the processing power necessary to operate the models in a battle environement. Very clever indeed.
On a side note, Wrecking Ball Robo and Sigma Iris II I just ordered my kits of, and Triple Ruler has had its parts fixed and is now being sent to me. 3D models are so awesome. I wonder if the game models actually have any of their detail sculpted on (like mine do), or if they have all their details as textures (which I wish I could do).

(presuming you have no prior experiance with a compress folder)

Lol I have to admit i see what you see now, some of the Borgs are extremely good quality, like realll good but others, like metal hero metal form, omg worst model ever, i hope my version looks alright. each model is only about 200kb-700kb so capcom really saved space on such low quality models but made up for it with quality UV textures (which is present in every part in every Borg) that's what makes the Borg look amazing(ish) unfortunately the 3d program i use doesn't support UV textures (but the models in other programs comes out so messed up i can't even recognize it
