Look up 20th force glitch on youtube. Doing it to get Galactic Emperor and G Black is safe, but I'd be careful if you want to get, say, Cyber Machine Genbu. It freezes. A lot. And it can screw over your game. But not for the two borgs not avaliable any other way.

Hmm...I guess if you say it's legal then I have to take your word for it. I think we're all just very careful, since GF2 is a real possibility and we don't want to ruin any chances.
For the record, what file format do the models work in? I'm guessing it's some specific video game format.
Sadly I'm still not interested, I'll stick to drawing fan art of them like my sig demonstrates.

I dont have gameshark unfortunatly im gonna be working with the borgs on my list which is nearly if not all of them with a few exceptions -G black, although i can still rip galactic emporer and others i come across in the game. I export them into some random format (can't remember which) and then use an external 3d program to convert the format to a more user friendly format eg 3DS or OBJ, The textures are in obscure formats but i change them to DDS then convert them to more user friendly formats like PNG, BMP or JPG, sound complicated. . It is but i enjoy doing it Should i seek help? ;D

I'm going to assume OBJ and PNG as the model and texture formats from what you said. I'm assuming the models would have to be split into parts, though? Otherwise you'd have intersecting faces and non-manifold meshes all over the place.
*cant decide between playing devil's advocate or actually morally against process. Leaning towards the former.

It just seems only you have the problem with this, whats hard to grasp? I'm offering people to expand on there creativity no more no less. I'm taking my time to do this the models export into split parts automatically so it looks fine i take away the garbage around it (5 Min's tops) for example a guy wants a cyber mars with a jet form victory king on his back, now if we did it your way, 2-3 hours, my way 20 mins tops if you do a raster render it comes out great, more better looking than the game itself for that matter, if you do cartoon render there are lines all over the place but that can be fixed if you really wanna spend time on it, either way it looks great in the modeling program and fully rendered stop trying to rain on my parade ;D

Leaning towards the former. expanding on this i have opened the models in at least 4 top of the range modeling programs and all look fine DDS textures fit perfectly into place like they should so whats not good about that? if the model from the game is exactly the model on the 3D application then whats the problem? whats morally wrong about it i don't get why you see a bad side Two things: Firstly, I gave you the benefit of the doubt that it was just an exercise in creativity, else why would I bother to inquire the formats? I'd have stopped after my first post if I hadn't. Secondly, I happen to draw 3D models, so anyone ripping models off anything is questionable in my eyes. Thirdly, pics or nothing ever happened. I'd like to see proof of this, as the models in game obviously weren't built with accurate collision calculation software. I wonder if the programmers actually bothered to make the parts themselves solidly, of if they were built quite haphazardly. The more you know, eh? Oh, and are the models of the borgs the only thing you can get, or are the landscapes etc. stored in the same format? I'd like to get into gaming one day (long long long way away), so I wonder what the scenery is made from. I'm guessing it's also a model due to the games absolutely crappy grass, but I can only guess.

No one really does. It's the Internet. One person understands part of it,man other person understands something else, and when you have billions of people, they form an almost but not quite coherent community. [/observation of the internet]

Eh, both of us can stop with this pointless discussion as far as I am concerned. I'll be able to sleep easy as I doubt anyone with bad intentions would come to these boards anyways*. That said, I would like to see the results. I didn't realise NGR would be in 30-70 parts. I made a toy model similar to NGR and that came in maybe 20 parts? Wow this game is way more complex than I thought. I'm especially interested to see what the humanoid characters like the Valkyries and Girls look like in parts. I'd love to know whether the programmers had the guts to use their own crappy collision program to their advantage with overlapping limb sections. That would take some real...bravery? I'm not us if that's the correct term, but it'd bring a smile to my face if they did. So yeah, can you get, say, Ice Valkyrie? Normal colours? I state here that I will use the model solely to see if the programmers had guts as specified in the above paragraph (I do realise I sell models in one way or another, well not this one, I only sell models I make or have the rights to use in sales), before I get asked the same thing about morals (trust me smithy, I got the same response form everyone here when I came onto these boards and showed off my models). *the lack of bad intentions in members is a fact that can only be disputed when I say it can be. lol
