Hi! Just wanted to post something new, and figured i'd start fleshing out my evil toy army. I've always been running low on evil units (somehow people always make more good guys). Time to change that. The Iris Drones are simply units, each designed to...um, run around? Pretend to be a threat? Solo the GE? Or you can just swarm your enemy with them, and watch them...squirm? Eh...okay, maybe not squirm. Annoyed? Not really. These guys don't really serve much purpose do they?   Hope you guys like them. They'll come in packs of 5 because....well, because 5 is a nice number. It's half of 10. Note: These are different from the ones included with Sigma. These ones don't have the ports on the back to attach to figures like Sigma (these ones therefore look better on their own). |

I wouldnt tell death eye that he doesnt serve much of a purpose. But i digress, do they come in packs of 5 or 1?

Packs of 5, because frankly buying them one by one would get very tedious. Plus, since when has 1 lone Iris Drone posed much of a threat? 5 drones...now that's a different story!

these look great! Out of all of your models, these look most like the in-game characters : D nice job! And seeing 5 of them got me thinking...you ever thinking about a GF chess set? Chess sets are the ULTIMATE collectors item, because they have multiple pieces ;D and they look sophisticated lol. I'll toss one together Death Force: King: G.E. Queen: Iota Bishop: Beta Knight: Gamma Rook: Omega/Nu (Nu would probably fit better lol) Pawn: Death Eye Gotcha Force: King: NGR Queen: Guard Witch Bishop: Accel Ninja or Teleport (either looks cool lol) Knight: Ring Valkyrie Rook: Hammer Knight Pawn: Normal Ninja  If I ever have the patience to finish that blender book I bought a year ago, this will be my first project...if you don't do it first lol. |

Blender, huh? Yeah...that program's got one hell of a learning curve. Even i use it only to do some basic file conversions, drawing in it is so difficult. Still... good luck. A chess set...trust me, making a game out of these guys has been so tempting. The only thing is, these guys aren't really in scale with each other as it is, so it wouldn't be very realistic as a scene (NGR is only slightly shorter than Triple Ruler). That, and game pieces would have to be statues rather than figures, as there's a limit to how small a piece can be before joints fail. That said...that's a nice idea, and i'm tempted...I changed some of the figures to better suit (imo) the positions, like having a knight as the Knight.

^ thanks. I tried using it a LONG time ago, but it was so badly organized I couldn't find my way around lol. They made a nice update that makes it pretty user friendly, but I still have close to no idea how to do anything other than preset shapes and morphing them lol.
My dad has ViaCad though, would you recommend that?

Hmm...ViaCAD...I personally don't have much experience regarding the program. Certainly never used it before, but from the looks of it it seems to model similarly to other programs in that it takes 2D and 3D, and it's inclusion of a "Push/Pull modelling" tool makes me happy. That said, i'd have to try it before i can say anything good or bad about it, but from the looks of it, if you can learn it then you should be able to get some good results from it.
Oh, and I'm looking into a miniature chess set, since i've always wanted a custom chess set. Of course, this is still a long terms project, and everything will be statue-like instead of an action figure, but we'll see.

^Gotcha force life sized chess set. you get in and play the borgs, and someone (the "player" would be the gf commander.) it would be awesome.
