Hey guys, it's me again. Just to be clear, i have been designing stuff, i've just been bogged down with uni work. Anyways, here's my next model, Wrecking Ball Robo. This thing always manages to hit me with its giant ball of death just when i think i've gotten away unscathed, so i just had to make a model of it. Some would say i made it out of frustration, others would say it was made out of awe. Either way, i did keep the giant ball of death...shall we say...detachable? Obviously the most important thing with this model was to make it actually able to carry around a spiked ball, and that it does. The weapon does stow on it's back, and the arms are made to be able to hold the ball. To lower the cost to a reasonable amount, i had to hollow the ball, and hence there's a hole in the rear, lower half of the weapon. I tried to hide this as well as i could, and the hollowness really helps the robot to stay standing. Wrecking Ball Robo was also designed to have all the articulation that one would expect. Ball jointed ankles, knees, hips, waist, shoulders, elbows and claws (each claw moves independently, so it can open and close its hands) let it assume a vast array of poses, as well as just look cool while the other player is taking flying lessons. Nice. Can you make the claws more even in length tho? If memory serves both halves of the pincher hand things were equal length. It looks almost perfect tho.

One boss of a robo, it's good to see him in fan art. Too bad the wrecking ball can't be a megaton it'd be fun to toss around in my hands lol (minding the spikes...). And of the topic of multipiece mechs...how would you make sigma? lol

For the record, i checked the ingame model, and the pinchers are actually different lengths. The lower claw is shorter (quite a lot shorter, actually).
As for making Sigma, the two halves would have to be joined by a transparent part, probably using each of the spheres to house the joints. It wouldn't be completely invisible, but it's as close as one can get.
