Anyway I found this anime while looking around an anime site... I dont know, I get drawn to these things.
Its quite recent and only 11 episodes so it doesn't eat up time. It has a good concept, even if the story wasn't as explored perhaps as well as it could have been. By far the biggest problem with this show is that it can only be found in japanese with subs.
Its set in japan as it goes through economic crisis.
kinimaro yoga (?) is the series protagonist who's parents are both dead and lives alone, supported by his grandma. He goes to college and has several part time jobs to keep financially stable. The girl he loves already has a rich boyfriend, they are still friends, but he simply doesn't have enough money to get through the normal life he desires.
A strange man appears before him one night and offers him money in exchange for his future as a collateral, and eventually Kinimaro is shown to the financial district, a strange world where he must participate in 'deals' (fights) to keep earn more money and keep himself from going 'bankrupt' and loosing his future, whatever that may be.
Fun stuff and it gets more easy to understand as the series progresses. The deals dont appear to make sense at first, but you eventually realise that just like in real life the outcome of these flashy battles depends on the person with the most money.
I've seen all the episodes, as I was watching I was unsure if I should share it, but then thought why the heck not? Good ending.
