GFX-01 Triple Ruler So, on another one of my random procrastination sessions, while trying to avoid doing my lab report for uni, i took out my old copy of Gotcha Force and decided to finally beat the game. But i just couldn't stand not having those little Borgs in my toy collection. I know there was a Gotcha Force toyline, but it was reportedly very rare and short-lived, to the point where i've never even seen a picture of one, let alone one for sale. Of course, i had to change that. I started with Victory King, the triple changing Machine Borg. Originally i was going to make Victory Baron (jet and robot), or Victory Machine (jet to tank), but then i'd have to rework the build for Victory King. So i just threw myself in the deep end so to speak and got working on the King himself. I used three pictures i found off the Gotcha Force Wiki as reference, and improvised the transformation from there. He currently stands at about 100mm tall (give or take a few mm) in robot mode, making him about scout sized. Given Gotcha Borgs are palm sized, that seems about right. Hope you guys like him. If this is in the wrong forum, sorry, please move it. Here's the link to the model's page, for the record. I'll just keep the model for my personal collection.

Thanks. I'm a transformers nerd as well, and i agree, the jet mode is just like Megatron's. Long nosecone, and a bulky back end. That's why both look cool. I've also added a link to the model's page in the first post. It will be for sale when i can get my sample.

this is absolutely beautiful.
but is there any chance that you could change the yellow triangle into a V? it bothers me a bit, but if not then that's fine. i can still recognize him as victory king ^^

Just saying, I don't think you'll be able to sell them because they're property of Capcom. You could probably give them for free, but if you were to make a profit from them; it'd probably be illegal. Unless Capcom hired you to make them, that'd be PURE AWESOMES!

Heh, i see what you guys want. Sadly, i can't yet give them away, but i try to keep them all pretty low cost as it is.
As for changing the triangle, i will do that, just as soon as my other computer is fixed, as that's where the file is located. It'll be a V after that, and then it'll be time to order my sample.
And just because i'm a transformers nerd, i might just quickly paint it digitally to see what it'd look like as Blitzwing. Because, y'know, Blitzwing is cool.

No, you still don't understand, if you sell these at any cost (no matter how small) it is still against the law. "Copyright is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, giving the creator of an original work exclusive rights to it, usually for a limited time. Generally, it is "the right to copy", but also gives the copyright holder the right to be credited for the work, to determine who may adapt the work to other forms, who may perform the work, who may financially benefit from it, and other related rights. It is an intellectual property form (like the patent, the trademark, and the trade secret) applicable to any expressible form of an idea or information that is substantive and discrete." - A definition of Copyright from wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright

well we're a small forum anyway, so if we don't say anything then no one will know, right? jk
but seriously, we're not a big forum, so what if he sells them to us first, as friends and family? he can do that, right?
or he could rename them into something similar, like Have-You Force! and distribute them this way, right? a lot of asian markets in my area seem to prefer this method of selling copyrighted toys. the number of "pokamon" toys and figurines i've seen is pretty staggering...

Guys you're forgetting that I DON'T take anything from the game at all. Like I said above, the Victory King you see looks far more like Blitzwing to me (in fact I based it on an old Blitzwing toy I was building from old transformers figures), and it is also applicable as any other triple changing robot. Since I didn't take anything from the game (the game doesn't even provide any transformation sequence), I have full ownership of the model and thus can do anything I please with it.
Of course, being a small forum helps, but its not an issue anyways.

While i like the idea of having one of my own, and i agree with frozn if he sells them to us i think there would be no prob if we kept quite. If capcom somehow stumbled upon this site and thread, they would say you based something off of their copyright for personal proffit. And sue, while it might not hold up in court it would probably draw you enough negative fan attention that well you get the idea.

Two things: First, as i've always said, i dont take anything from the game except teh slightest hints of inspiration, which does not break any law, and secondly, people are forgetting one small detail: Capcom likely does not even have copyright over the model in the first place (only the game, not the specific models). That said, if you guys want,i'm more than happy to keep all the models for myself. Anyways, should we get back to the model itself?

On a lot of borgs in the game, don't they have "Capcom" hidden on them somewhere (mostly on the foot or back). Doesn't that make them their property?

Not that i've seen, but then again i didn't look everywhere on the model. Eh, doesn't matter guys, if it bothers you all so much, i'll just keep these for me. I mean, there's nothing wrong with expanding my own personal toy collection.

It's a little hidden detail that makes me really happy for some reason, I don't know why. Maybe they feel more...thought out I guess, and makes them look more like toys. I dunno, but it's a cool detail on their textures. edit: yus! I'm c-rank now , once I achieve b rank I will be content with my ranking lol.

I would like a g red alt color if possible. I would pay under the table... Off the books... With a beam sword like on the cover if possible. I just like alt g red better than regular. Also victory king would be cool because i like transformers.
