lol well the last 30 min is where the US is bombing Japan back. If I'm going to Code Geass's strongly suggested view point that the US is taking over Japan I need to see some anti-Japanese action to justify it.

fair enough. Just for the record, the show is not at all biased, despite what that article says. Lelouch is beginning to seriously regret his actions. I mean, some of the events leading up to episode 13 are heartbreaking. And the show uses Suzaku to show that Britanian rule isn't so bad, or at least that it can be changed. In other words, it isn't anti US or anti japanese, its just another conflict which the viewer, as they watch, get to decide who they route for. Regardless, I still route for Lelouch but thats neither here nor there, you wont feel like a terrible person for supporting the Britannians. ... I read into things way to much. EDIT: I actually cried at the end of episode 14.

Well if i look at it that way (just a conflict, not anti- this or -that) I may have a better time watching it. i'll put it on my hitlist of things to watch when i know not what to watch.

^ thats the spirit, and really, this show gets better as I watch it. I've never cried so early on in an anime/game before and I'm 90% sure I'll cry again at this rate. Anyway, enough of that, glad your somewhat giving it another chance.

wow there are so many animes that I apparently dont even have a clue about. I think I will like this (I'll probably watch it this afternoon) bc it sounds like a nice mix of anime and war stories (I like both for some reason) I was clueless about animes for ages, I didn't even know you could watch them online. I'm so glad I joined this site, one of the best decisions of my life. If not the best. I would still know so little about the wide world of things I love. I feel the same way. My first time on the internet wasn't till I was 11 ;D

its official, I think this is better than death note and about the same as Soul Eater. It has (some) of soul eater's humor, death note's cleverness that makes me want to burst out loud with laughter, on top of that it is heavily mature, and it makes me cry. Honestly, I cannot stress this enough, people need to see this. And if you dont like it, thats ok. Just watch a few episodes at the very least and have a good reason for not liking it. The only big criticism I have with the series is that there are a lot of, as TV tropes say, 'disney deaths' where characters die and come back for unexplained reasons. There are TWO deaths which dont actually kill people in the first episode, for instance, and the worst one is where someone, wearing ordinary clothing, gets shot about 100 times from just a few metres away from an entire police squad, only to come back the very next episode. Also, the second opening can only be described as the japanese equivalent of Justin bieber singing. Other than that and the pre mentioned possible anti- americanisms, which aren't that bad. Heck, this IS supposed to be the EU from America, its way more anti britain, my country, than Anti-US which I dont mind, and it's also anti- japanese and rebellion, too. In other words, its basically saying war sucks. Anything else? I dont think so. Also, at one point Suzaku described how frogs go 'Kero'. Not a sgt frog reference, probably, but I still found it hilarious.

^ pretty much that. I love how Lelouch is so smart, and figures out things so quickly. I like finding out his thought process and his problem-solving skills. on the other hand, suzaku is both loyal and epically amazing at being a soldier, so if the two of them were to combine, that person could easily take over the universe.

WOOOOOOOOOO! I finished R2. I cried at the end. This is definitely my favorite anime. Lelouch... EDIT: Huh? Where the heck is R3 wasn't it supposed to have come out in 2010? A year ago? Is confused. With the series having ended, here are my top three favorite, first favorite down to third, and three least favorite, 1 being my least favorite character: Favorite: 1: Lelouch. 2: Shirley 3: Suzaku Least favorite. 1: ROLO! FRICKIN ROLO! 2: Mariane/Charles (its a tie) 3: V.V

SPOILER ALERT
well there's no R3, since, well... lelouche kinda dies... also there's a happy ending and a good conclusion, which ended it quite simply and epicly instead of dragging on like naruto or bleach until people get sick of it and beg for it to stop *nodnod*
but if you want moar code Geass, there are spin-off manga series, like Suzaku of the Counterattack and Nunally of the Rebellion if you want to read those.

Well, after Rolo killed Shirley, I hated him, but still loved his geass, except for the side effects.
