I just started watching this out of curiosity. Its really good. Anyone else seen it?
Its about a world where the Britannia empire have somehow become a world wide major military powerhouse, with robots and other cool weapons. They attack and take over Japan in their conquest, renaming it area 11. A kid called Lelouch, a brittanian who lives in area 11, gets caught up in japanese terrorist attacks and finds a girl, who is promptly slaughtered and in death gives him the power to 'command' people. In other words, he commands someone to die, as an example, and they commit suicide. Its a really cool anime, just seen episode 2.

yay, the attention being paid to this thread is awesome... Anyway, so as not to make this a bump message, I've watched up to episode 6 and its holding up well. Really good, I recommend it to anyone who loves anime, which would be just about everyone here right?

I have heard of this. I don't really have anything else relevant to say on this matter at the moment.

Well, I would, but I don't know where on the internet to find them conveniently in one place. I also have a tendency to REALLY not want to start watching (or playing, but that's not relevant to this situation) something new until I actually do it, then watch (or play, but again, not relevant) a crapload of it nonstop until I either finish it or take a break. That's why I still haven't played Pikmin, for example, despite the fact that I got it, like, 4 months ago... I think... It probably doesn't help that I'm still alternating between trying to get an alt Antares and/or a shadow Death ICBM and leveling up my Ninjas, either.

^ Yeah I get like that. Nowadays I have so much time on my hands that the reason I dont like getting into new games is because I'm on the internet watching animes.

I love code geass! watched it a few years ago. At first i watched it because it had mecha in it, and I was so glad that i did. All of the characters are likeable, Lelouch is a genius, Suzaku is a baws. There are hilarious scenes all through the anime, and drama as well. One of my top favorites for sure. I suggest it to anyone that liked death note, likes mecha, wants a good story, is bored out of their mind, and/or can excuse maybe three seconds or so of nudity.
i was going to read the manga spin-offs, but im in the middle of dengeki daisy right now, so not yet.
i'm surprised that more people here don't watch this, unless they're just late to the thread like me. everyone in japan seems to know and like it.

Yes I agree completely, actually. I hope some more people take some notice of this thread... three seconds of nudity? In the third episode theres a whole three minuit shower scene. *Cough* anyway, this thing rings death note in my ear except Lelouch doesn't go quite as insane as Light does, and you actually feel for his plight against the Britanians. Just watched episode 9. I showed it to Colonel Sarcasm and he seems to like it, but he's too plugged into one piece right now to be bothered with watching it...

wow there are so many animes that I apparently dont even have a clue about. I think I will like this (I'll probably watch it this afternoon) bc it sounds like a nice mix of anime and war stories (I like both for some reason)

I'm so glad I joined this site, one of the best decisions of my life. If not the best. I would still know so little about the wide world of things I love.

isn't the internet amazing ;D what's even more amazing is I'm old enough to remember my first experience with the internet. i was 4 years old and able to do simple computer commands to a black and green screen and then at like age 6 I was connecting to people on the other side of the world on a color monitor?! no way! lol that's my nostalgia for the day.

I got my first email address about a year ago... seriously, and I rarely use it. Now I've actually got to get myself motivated to use a mobile phone.

lol it took me awhile to get into cell phones too. I didnt like the idea of being "too available' but I've come to the point where i just feel comfortable ignoring people. ha
So I've watched the first minute of Code Geass and I don't like how Briticanna empire obviously means America. So far it's coming off as anti-american to me but i'll finish the episode.

I'm pretty sure the Britanian Empire is europe, actually. And anyway, its fiction. I may be wrong however.
EDIT: Nope, I'm right but the empire has some of the US under its control it seems.
