Would anyone happen to know of a program that can play videos and whatnot (like Windows Media Player) that can play AVI files and go into full-screen mode without any buttons or any of that constantly on the screen? (I am referring, of course, to all the stuff in the red boxes in the attached image. On the TV in my living room that stuff is likely to burn in after an extended period of watching something, and it's not really needed on-screen anyway unless I move the mouse down (or up) to it to do something.) Those don't disappear after a while of not touching them? However, VLC media player should play your file type, and from my memory, it doesn't leave anything funny onscreen. And best of all, it's free. It's at www.videolan.org/.
