I know this is kind of a long shot... but I've been looking all over Google the internet for a controller with 6 face buttons, 4 trigger buttons, two analog sticks in the middle, and a D-pad that isn't one of those damn circles that always seem to register diagonals unnecessarily. Basically, it would be like a Playstation controller with two extra face buttons on the right. Would anyone happen to know if anything like that exists? I don't really care how expensive it is, as long as it actually exists.

^Can you read my mind? Sorry, no, I've actually looked myself before, and I never found one either.

Well, here's the absurd part: Literally 5 minutes after making this thread I found this. The good news: Well, just look at it. It looks perfect. The bad news: As far as I can tell they only sell them in bulk.

So do I, but the website with that image seems to only sell them by the thousands. As a not-quite-as-good alternative, if you don't care about the d-pad (or the price) there's this.Of course, now that I look at it more closely I'm not sure it actually has 4 trigger buttons. Not to mention the fact that that site has it for, like, $200. EDIT: I just found one that appears to be perfect and doesn't require bulk purchases. And it's, like, $12. But it appears to be Chinese. After the USB memory card fiasco I'm not exactly inclined to trust obviously Chinese products like this. LINK

Saitek P2600. I have it and use it. The one gripe I have with it is that the analog sticks click in, but they actually aren't buttons... Edit: Holy crap, $80 used? The heck, I found mine at a Goodwill for like 8 bucks. That's why I'm satisfied with it, it's SERIOUSLY not $80 quality.

That would be a serious problem for me; the whole reason I want a controller like this is so that I can emulate NES, SNES, N64, Playstation, and the Sega Genesis, Master System (I think?), and (possibly) Saturn with a somewhat similar controller to all of their controllers (ignoring the N64's weirdness), and a lack of L3 and R3 would obviously not be a good thing. Which reminds me, there's a pretty good chance all of the ones I've already posted links to don't have L/R3.

Try the Saitek P990. Just read some reviews, and it's pretty much like a blue version of the one I just showed you, actually including the L3/R3 they advertised.
On Amazon there's an used one going for $20, and refurbished at $37, but it's still pretty expensive new.
Though, if you were to give up on the 6 face buttons, I'd recommend a wired 360 controller.

I know it sounds like a rather petty thing to be concerned about, but I have a Steelseries 3GC (I think that's what it was) and I've had very bad experiences with its D-pad due to it being a circle and me accidentally hitting a diagonal. Yeah, that right there. Steelseries 3GC. I don't really need to say anything about this, do I? Answer: I probably should. I prefer my stick to be positioned like it is on a Playstation controller, so I'd prefer to stay away from the 360 controllers, even if it happens to have a better D-pad. Not to mention the fact that I absolutely despise everything non-computer-related that Microsoft has done for reasons I don't feel like explaining at the moment. Somewhat off-topic: I kind of want a keyboard with a crapload of extraneous keys (like, F24-type extraneous). Or at least to look at such a keyboard. What's the most extraneous keyage one could possibly get on a keyboard?
