If it weren't for Natsumi, Keroro could've taken over for episode 52. Oh, well, I dont know anything about that so I'll just have to wait until then and then make my final verdict then. As if she'd really care how we judge her. |

Wow... I am late to this party...
Just watched episode 1 dubbed, my thoughts... plain and simple, I like it. I shall continue to watch. Especially because I'm curious to know about this dreaded episode 6 taboo...

How hilarious is the abridged series?! I honestly think its even funnier than the show itself. XD XD XD And now I'm inspired to draw up some anime characters in frog form  Also... I CAN'T STOP SINGING "kero kero kero" |

I KNEW IT! The voice actor of Giroro is same one for Vegeta!
I also noticed that Justin Cook is co-producer, along with being the voice of Buu, he is a great producer.

and Kululu (who you meet in episode 9) is the same voice actor as Stein from SOul Eater.

I LOOOOOOOVE this show. Its so hilarious, but yet at the same time they slide some interesting morals and eye-openers in there (particularly in the episodes that are subbed and not dubbed, and especially in the movies)
I'm just wondering why so many people have a huge problem with episode 6? I thought it was kind of boring (like I do any momoka-heavy epi), but idk i just dont see the total disappointment that would make one stop watching the show. Just curious about that.
The only problems I have with the show in general is (1) sometimes I can sense some political comments being thrown in, almost to the point of being anti-American. (epi 25.. "A justified war... 'by american standards'..") I think the show would be better off having no political leniency at all. and (2) keroro is HELLA annoying in the dub compared to the sub. In the sub he is a lot more tolerable and i can actually see his leadership qualities. But other than that i love the show ^^
as far as characters I love: Giroro, natsumi, kululu, dororo, koyuki
ones I have a hard time standing: mois, fuyuki, tamama, momoka, kogoro, saburo
and to also answer the OP's question about fav opening/ending...
I like the same opening song (I even bought it on itunes hehe) and my fav ending is:

First of all, it's not "so many people" really, mostly me I think XD I suppose I'm the one that applies to most, so I'll answer that :3 I was upset that in this episode the cleanness level dropped so suddenly, I mean the prior 5 episodes had their moments but nothing compared to what was in episode 6. The main thing is that I'm also highly intolerant of inappropriateness if that helps I'm aware that I probably should have stopped with some of the first few dirtier gags, but that's my fault-ish. And Momoka was a bit annoying :3 The episode did make me mad enough to temporarily stop watching, but I also had other things to do at that time so it was good that I stopped anyways XD After that, I haven't gone back yet so I could catch up with the MLP series  I'm all caught up though, so if I ever get really bored I might continue with Sgt. Frog. Which I probably won't for a time since I have things to do ... XD And, welcome to GFF Caitiechem! ;D Watch out for the floating ramen celery sticks, they're really dangerous sometimes |

haha yeah.. it pretty much is ^^; I was actually googling "sgt frog season 4" (to see if they've made an announcement about it yet) and somehow found myself here. Thanks for the welcome!
I think I've finished watching all the available subbed episodes.. I'm currently rewatching some that I dont really remember and also rewatching them in spanish.. Sgt frog.. making learning languages fun!

I really think that episode is quite different than most of the episodes. Momoka doesn't do well as the main plot character. She needs to recognize her main role is to just show up here and there and be supporting character! Don't they have enough girls in the show anyway? I guess i thought "so many people" because I thought i saw a couple of posts about it.. maybe i'm just dumb and read yours several times ;D I hope you start watching it again whenever you get the chance! I really think its a lot better once ALL the frogs are introduced (epi 13). Also, Thaddie...There are a couple spots (ONLY A COUPLE!) Where a certain F word comes into play. Please keep watching, it's only 2 in the first 51 episodes, swearing rarely shows up. Episode 9 is when it first shows up. |
