How often do you have them?
I usually do it on a friday night when staying at my friends house. It's why im on now. For those who don't do all nighters, what's the latest you'll stay awake at most. On a college day i'll stay up until 2am max, even though i have to get up at 8.

I do all nighters only during the summer because I can't afford to fall asleep in school. Usually though, I stay awake until 1 AM or so.

A couple of years back, when I was an MSN nerd: all the time.
It even spelled trouble for me when I went to bed at 5 AM and at 6 AM they called me in for work.
Whenever I have my hands on a new engrossing RPG, I might be up very late too, but that's not very often these days. (lack of titles and all you know)

I generally can't fall asleep before 3:00, no matter how hard I try, unless my girlfriend is staying over. I'm at my most creative during the godawful hours of the morning, for whatever reason...I guess my rational, logical mind shuts down, and my creative, emotional mind takes full control. As such, most all of my writing gets down around this time. On top of that, I tend to enjoy anime, games, and books more around then since I can foster a more powerful emotional attachment to the characters.
Seriously, things I'd say "hey, cool" at during the day can and usually will drive me tears at night. This is doubly so for mecha series.

I only have all-nighters twice, sometimes three times a year.  Once playing video games all night with my brother and once on a youth-group thrown all-nighter which always is composed of lots of pizza, chips, crashing racecars, abuse of nacho trays, and heavy doses of DSes and Wiis. ;D |

Usually at night i can sit down and watch Anime whereas in the day i just cant seem to concentrate. Also even though im generally tired at night i'm much more lively. We just had a SCHOOL all-nighter
It was the most tiring ever, since there was an all-dayer and an all-nighter. Crazy.

an all nighter? as in you stay awake for 36 hours? or as in you dont go to bed till very late (or very early)? i stay up late all of the time, but i almost never deprive myself of sleep.

im really bad putting up all nighters (see my failed journal for reference xD), i usually fall asleep because i turn tv on to watch a little bit of a movie, and pow!!!! asleep.
when i was a kid and my parents went to trips for whole days, i used the stay awake the whole night surfing the web or playing games.

Good tips for all nighters...
1. Wake up late the day before
2. Have lots of junk to eat and drink throughout the night
3. Try and get company, preferably the opposite sex
4. Make sure you have lots to do
5. Don't check the time

When me and a few of my mates had a sleepover I stayed up from 5:00 am on the Sunday till 8:00 pm on the Monday. Once when I stayed up all night, when I went swimming the next day, I fell asleep IN THE POOL |

Thats odd. So many people have managed to fall asleep in class, on the bus, in a park in the day etc etc
But can never do that O.o
Something drives me to stay awake in all those places, no matter how long i've been awake for.

*Casts Life*
Had an all nighter on Tuesday to Download stuff. Then stayed up all day Wednesday until 2am Thursday to Download stuff. Then after sleeping at 2 i woke up at 8am on Thursday and stayed up again until 2am on Friday (today) One more late night and then my time is up!
