Dat match-winning hit. I feel for Nairo, Pit's recovery is just so sad. The majority of his battle was trying to get back on stage. Pit...come back when your recovery is slower, covers less distance, and you turn into a dog with a bird partner. But yeah, and character with a recovery without a hitbox has recovery issues. Rosy, Pits, Olimar, Killager...it sucks. Did you watch Apex Smash 4? The Top 8 (except for Grand finals, suprisingly) were super hype. ZeRo pulled out his Falcon again M2K in their match which was awesome even though it's still a work in progress for him. Dabuz, a Rosalina main/Olimar secondary had some interesting matches...lol. Also there was a really good Pac-Man in top 8 too. I won't spoil who won the entire thing if you don't know.

At least Duck Hunt Dog has more control over his, and doesn't have 2.5 seconds of landing lag. Pit can angle around, but he still has to pinpoint the edge, and has to use it from the tip of its range or he just overshoots the edge for no reason and is punishable for a huge time. So all you have to do is wait to stage-spike him. At least Duck Hunt Dog can try to fake-out and wiggle around or over the edge to avoid opponents. Pit's side-B helps a lot but you can hit him from an angle if you expect it. Pit's is among the better non-attack recoveries, but also among the easiest to intercept. Olimar has it way worse...
But I haven't seen Apex... I don't keep up with competitive smash honestly. I keep up with EVO, and Smash 4 will be on there, but I just don't find it as entertaining or hype as anime fighters that have so much technicality and speed, and Marvel. Marvel is always worth seeing... That game's so crazy, even if it's my least favorite fighter.

So much dissapoint. If nothing else, go on VGC and watch Dabuz fight M2K.
Also, yeah, Olimar's got it bad. I stillsay DHD is the worst though, because at least Olimar can get good distance.

True story. I remember that well from when I used him a ton in For Glory, and tested all his moves. It's depressingly funny.

True story. I remember that well from when I used him a ton in For Glory, and tested all his moves. It's depressingly funny. Well, people said he was too OP. really all they had to do was make him do a bit more damage, remove gliding, transcendent priority on his moves, and make Nado not as stupid. They did that, but they forgot to give him the damage buff and made his hitboxes really sad in general.

The hitboxes are what's funny, and also his only real problem. The attack effects just missing for no reason, giving him pathetic range. I dunno how they still let that slide. But ever since his buff he's been pretty good. He doesn't do a lot of damage but has a crazy follow-up game which makes up for that, and a lot of deadly KO moves like B-air and Shuttle Loop. Dimensional Cape is an amazing hard-read/punish KO move, and F-smash KOs extremely early for a light character, and if they block it it's safe. Not to mention one of the best grabs in the game.
He needs to put a lot of work in but I think too many people dismiss him as bad now because of the range, and comparing him to his past iteration.

It's juat combared to brawl he's bad. ...I wish Jiggs had better aerials. Don't get me wrong, her aerials are great, but Diddy has a better aerial toolkit than Jiggs. That's not even right. Just give her Kirby's DAir and a UAir that's actually good and she'd have the best aerial toolkit despite getting outranged by Diddy's FAir. Mentioning of Jiggs... Man, that really was one big back and forth. I got really far behind, brought it back, then choked. Still super happy about that rest punish.

I liked when I punished rest... With falcon punch. So pro. I dunno, rest is deadly, but there's too much risk and human error. I dislike gambling things like that in fighters, especially when Jigglypuff can get KO'd easy at 40-50% for it. On the other hand, it's quite the punish move... That match was memorable somehow, I remember a lot of moments, even subtle things.

The rediculous floating taunt, me jumping into an Fsmash, powershielding a sweet knee that would've killed me, rest punish, failed rest punish that gave you the ultimate finisher, random sing you actually didn't punish me for...I felt like I was "in the zone" through that match, like we were giving it our very best. The whole reason I like Rest is because, while it can kill you at 40% or so if you whiff, it starts killing around 50% itself. It's sick powerful, and not nearly as risky as Melee/Brawl Rest.

Mewtwo on the 28th, though players who registered both 3DS and Wii U versions before March 31st get him earlier, I think.
Also Lucas! In June!
Also more Amiibo!
Also we can vote on on more DLC characters for Smash. Like, anyone. So, uh, Nintendo will put that up soon, so wait for that.
If it were down to me I'd vote for another Xenoblade character like Melia, but I know that wont happen. I would also vote for someone like Flynn or Demi-fiend, or anyone else in Atlus' franchise, because Shin Megami X Fire Emblem got announced and it looks really... unique... honestly it looks a lot like a Persona game. Just, uh, without Personas. I was actually guessing throughout the trailer because it didn't look like a Shin Megami Tensei or Fire Emblem, so I was surprised when I was told what it was.
Anyway, Smash Characters. Since the Inklings in Splatoon are getting Amiibo I wouldn't be surprised if they got a lot of votes, I wouldn't be surprised if people voted for more Zelda characters like Skull kid, I wouldn't be surprised if people voted Roy (Because Melee master race *sigh*) or if people voted for more 3rd party characters, namely characters who are part of franchises that are already in the game, so characters like Shadow, Tails, or... uh... Base? I don't know my Megaman characters.
So, who are you voting for?
Also, this is not an April Fools.

I voted for Ridley (It's still possible. It probably won't happen, but hey.)
I wish I could still play you guys...I've been kinda lonely here in Smash Wii U land. Just people on Anther's Ladder and my friends in local play aside from FG. I've finally settled on Kirby as my main with Bowser, MK, Robin and Shulk as secondaries. I've been using these five for a month or two now.

I voted Bayonetta!
She's totally appropriate!
Actually, if Snake can be in Smash Bros, then I think anything is possible. I'm expecting Inklings or Skullkid to make it in though.

So, opinions on Mewtwo after using him a few days:
Feels very similar to his Melee counterpart...in all the wrong ways. A lot of his moves seem like they should combo easily, but they really don't.
He feels about average speed. Very floaty. Jab is pretty good, but doesn't have the range of most of his moveset. FTilt I've found to be very important, especially pivot Ftilt spacing. Fairly fast, long range. Good move. DTilt is almost like a B&B its so good. Combo starter, spacing, one of his fastest moves, very good. UTilt has a MASSIVE sweeping arc. Everything else about it is average, but the range alone makes it good. USmash is easily his best kill move. Running USmash has a huge slide, kills uncharged around 100%, sucks in and SDI isn't a thing anymore, decent grounded and great air range. Huge endlag though. FSmash is near worthless. Slow, not that strong, laggy, next. DSmash is a slightly better FSmash. Next. Grab has decent range. Pummel is okay. FThrow is as amazingly cool as ever, but other than that and its great FFA uses it's crap. No combo potential, low damage, low knockback...at least all the hits actually link now unlike Melee. Dthrow is a combo throw. Leads into aerials and UTilt somewhat well. BThrow HOLY CRAP THIS THING IS ALMOST NESS LEVELS OF STRONG. I've killed with this thing at 100%. It is STRONG. Fear it. UThrow is useless until about 140 when it kills if you staled BThrow by mistake. NAir is really good. SDI is gone, so the hits link very well, and it has low landing lag. FAir is B&B part 2. Strong KB, killing at around 110-120, fast, low land lag...decent hitbox is the only thing that holds it back. BAir is good for gimps. Fairly strong, HUGE range. Poor land lag though. UAir is Utilt in the air. Pretty good. DAir is fast, but BAir is your gimp move mostly. Teleport is warp. Good. Next. Confusion is still not safe on hit...it's the most lolzy, forgiving reflector in the game though, and it's an actual reflector now too. Disable got stronger but is still absurdly hard to hit with. Free kill if it hits though. Shadow Ball takes torever to charge...but it's insanely strong. Pretty good. Airdodge is great because invisibility.
So yeah.
