(so we don't pollute the extreme thread) Discusssion of Alvin Earthworm's awesome, yet abandoned, Flash series, of LOTS of voilence, and a compelling storyline.

actually, I don't think he's working on another. He hasn't started on episode 9 yet. He speciffically said that he started the series for fun. Now that he's ready to quit, trollers are attacking like nuts, stating he's lazy. The series started out of fun. Now people are constantly pressuring him to make the new episode.

Trolls ruin everything. I don't know if it's right for Alvin to be pressured into this situation or not but it's still a shame if he has quit the project, and I wouldn't mind so much if he didn't end it on episode 8 which was a cliffhanger. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Now that this is said and done. Here are the eight episodes and the opening.

It's more fans than trolls lol! XD But it is a shame if he does not continue, but since this is not copyrighted or anything its not like someone else can't just pick up where he left off and continue the series.
Agreed that it may not be the same. But it could at least end it.

but since this is not copyrighted or anything Yes it is Everything is instantly automatically copyright of the creator, there is no need for a copyright notice or anything. (though I'm not sure how that extends onto carrying on with other people's work and if he seriously tried to make a copyright claim for Nintendo's intellectual property... well, he'd be super stupid, but he could certainly make a copyright claim on anyone reproducing his work without permission [he's allowed to use the characters because it's a work of parody, which is protected under copyright law]) so yeah I know the deal with the copyrights.

Nah someone could still continue the series. freak copyrights!

Huge fan of SMBZ. Shame about it being discontinued, but I'm not entirely sure I'd be all for someone else taking it upon themselves. I mean, it could turn out pretty bad if someone with enough time but a copious lack of talent took on this project.
Like, say, Uwe Boll.
But in all seriousness, I understand where the guy is coming from. If he's not getting paid for it and doesn't enjoy it anymore, why should he continue? Especially if the fans are being doorknobs about it.
Mind you, LittleKuriboh sucked it up. Bah! I don't even know what I'm saying anymore...

I really enjoyed this series. Unfortunately, that scene 1 of episode nine was - as he said when he posted it - just to get past the cliffhanger. From what I understand, he has no intention of continuing it...which is sad. I was really looking forward to it...

I agree, but at the same time I understand.
