Got the ORAS demo, beat it, and all for a Glalie. Kinda disappointing. Wow, someone doesn't like Mega Glalie. Frankly I think that Mega Glalie's pretty cool (pun intended) with his 198 power Ice type Return coming off a base 120 attack. We've seen what the -iate abilities can do for pokemon like Sylveon, Mega Gardevoir and Mega Pinsir. Now here comes a pokemon that has one of the best offensive types in the game and can just fling around 198 power physical ice-type moves like it's nothing, or if you're willing to do some transfer shenanigans, a 487 power ice type explosion...and you want to call that dissapointing? I'm very happy to see one of my favorite bad pokemon get a mega that actually makes it dangerous. I'm pretty sure it also has the strongest ice type attack in the game. Now if only it got extremespeed for some inexplicable reason. Oh, also, Ice type Snore. That's pretty cool too. Maybe it can pull a Rest set since it only has rest as a recovery move, has passable defenses and an ice type snore. Doubt it, but I'm going to try to use this thing and Mega Camerupt.

Good move tutors are back with ORAS. Some particularly good confirmed moves are: Elemental punches Heat Wave Focus Punch Bug Bite (For Scizor) Knock Off (THANK YOU GF) Tailwind Super Fang (!) Endeavor Hyper Voice (!!) Heal Bell (!!!) Stealth Rock (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Trick Signal Beam Foul Play Pain Split Drain Punch Outrage Superpower Skill Swap Dark Pulse Earth Power
Also Lopunny has the best mega evolution. It's a Normal-Fighting type with base 136 Attack, base 135 Speed, and Scrappy, which means it hits everything with its STAB for neutral damage or better. Oh, and it gets Return and Hi Jump Kick for said STABs.

So I beat Omega Ruby Thursday. Thoughts, uhh... Game was cool, it improved on what made Gen 3 great. Secret Bases are a cool idea (if not only for the fact people make teams of blisseys for grinding.) Delta Episode is awesome. Won't spoil much, but a legendary that's previously been event only is avaliable. New megas are awesome. Being able to get almost every legendary and four starters is cool too.
Here's my endgame team: Nova(Swampert) Lv. 57 Louie(Mighteyena) Lv. 54 Ironcross(Swellow) Lv. 56 - DexNav is OP, Ironcross started with Brave Bird. Was insanely OP in the early game, but evened out late in, and became the 3rd best after Nova got EQ and Magnus evolved. Magnus(Magnezone) Lv. 56 - I got him as a level 6 while eveyone else was 20+ (Hordes were the only place to get one early game). I really wanted a Magnemite. I don't regret this choice at all. Ravok(Groudon) Lv. 54 - Ravok had 3 incarnations, as you'll see below. Zethor(Latios/HM Slave) Lv. 47 - Invaluable. Used him in battle maybe twice, but had Surf, Dive, Cut and Fly. His sacrifice will not be forgotten.
Other members I removed: Ravok(Camerupt) Lv. 44 - Removed when I got Groudon since he wasn't pulling his weight. Ravok(Surskit) Lv. 12 - Removed when I realized I had another water type, but is notable for having Hydro Pump from the get-go.

Do I have to beat the delta episode first, or can I go after I beat the E4?

Do I have to beat the delta episode first, or can I go after I beat the E4? You might as well beat the Delta Episode ASAP anyway (since I'm pretty sure you can't get Lopunnite until after that) but no, you just have to get the national pokedex from Birch, which can be done any time after you encounter Groudon/Kyogre. Mentioning of which, which version do you have?

Double post because POKEMON TEKKEN COLAB GAME. This is both awesome and stupid at the same time. Changed my mind completely. Thought this was going to be just one big fighting type-fest and just really lame, but it's turning out to be a very unique and interesting looking game. I think it'll be fun to play In 2016...

Aside from the Pokemon aesthetic, the game looks like a cross between Naruto Ultimate Ninja storm and Soul Calibur. I like both games but I've never actually gotten into them properly on account of me not owning them. Combining both seems like a really unique concept, it's interesting that they're creating a mechanical separation between the neutral and offense/defense game.
So yeah it seems pretty good. I'll probably pick it up eventually, depending on how many people here play it and how well it will hold up when it gets into the deeper competitive play.

I for one am not sure I like the direction. Seeing the recent gameplay looks much more like Al said, Naruto Ultimate Ninja. And that series is terrible competitively. It's the most repulsive competitive games I've ever played. For now I'll give them a little more credit, because it looks faster paced, and it doesn't seem there's a 'mash-button-to-auto-escape-everything-in-the-game-using-a-meter-that-replinishes-in-3-seconds.' I'll keep hoping there's no 'Awakening' Mega Evolutions that do your entire HP just off mashing a button whilst lasting 20 seconds and being completely unblockable and undodgeable, and granting you complete super armor. I'm not fond of how much ranged attacks they're throwing out either which is actually besting Naruto in the spam department. And from the looks of things, they have the 'impenetrable' block button which further promotes turtling and spam and only broken by grabs.
Sorry, I despise that unbalanced wreck of a one-button fighting series, and this has way too many similarities for its own good. I'm also disappointed that this is actually not at all like Tekken (or SoulCalibur. How, Al?) at all which is how they initially announced it. But I'll see if they can actually turn the formula into a good experience.

Kinda like a sidestep dodge in Smash. But wow, I've never seen you get so angry about something. That does sound a bit absurd though, I don't think that's where this is headed, though I will admit the awakenings seem to be particularly strong.

There's another video with Pikachu vs. Gardevoir and they seemed to be blocking a lot more there. It seems kind of limited, but it could have been the players not using it that much either, but they were simply blocking things a lot more. I'm not hating on Pokken so much as the NUNS series, but I just hope it ends up different enough. Because NUNS really was that bad as a fighter, it's a joke series competitively. It started out even worse than that, but ultimately it's a glorified mash and spam fest with hilariously broken stuff like the giant Awakenings and the infinite combo-escape system at the tap of a single button.
I mean, I'm not angry, but there's no way that series can have serious competition. It's disappointing because it's also a very beautiful and fun anime fighter, it's just the game mechanics render all of it pointless (the latest NUNS game made things even worse).
But then, this is already looking way more promising if not just for the lack of an infinite supply of a hitstun-escape button. Just a little too eerily close on some things. The more I look at it the better it seems, but I'd still like to see more information on the game mechanics, like blocking and the 2.5D duel mode thing.
