Beamgunner73 Random negative unprovoked comments like that are unnecessary. However... I hate to sound like a 1st grade teacher, but if you don't have anything nice to say, please don't just posts that are negative and unprovoked. They are not productive and could start something if someone takes something the wrong way. I was told to discuss. That was my disscussion. End of discussion.

Ok, i watched the 1st part of the pilot. It's actually very interesting. ;D Sorry to double post, I didn't refresh my page so I didn't see this comment. You have seen the first part of the pilot (episode 1) but I would like to give you a fair heads up (because everyone needs to know this going into the series) that the first 2 episodes will not give you a good idea of what the series is like at all.The first two episodes are extremely misleading.Watch at least the first 5 or 6. Then you will probably be familiar enough with the series to make comments about it as a whole.

My friend just informed me that he intends to run a Dresden Files RPG campaign located in Equestria! We are going to use the system to have a pen and paper My Little Pony RP! I am so excited. What kind of character should I make? What color should my mane be? So much to work on! So much excitement!

So, for those of us to love MLP:FiM what is your least favorite episode and why? We all love the show, but which episodes can you just not get into or think are down right terrible?

The one with the owl. I forget what it's called. It was LAMEO.
Although Devious Spike was pretty cool. And I watched it with my very attractive friend so QUALITY MEANS NOTHING.

The one with the owl. I forget what it's called. It was LAMEO. Although Devious Spike was pretty cool. And I watched it with my very attractive friend so QUALITY MEANS NOTHING. Yeah, it is one of the two episodes I dislike. I felt that it really had no conclusion or wrap up. Twilight says that Spike will continue to be useful because Aliouishious (or however you spell that) sleeps during the day. But that is bogus. It clearly showed that owl working days and nights with no problem. It is able to do 10 times the work Spike does plus, that fricken little owl beat up a dragon. All Spike is good for now is sending letters... And then the owl never shows up again. I actually liked that part though. I think it is silly. Maybe it is just me, but I think it is a jab at all the shows that have things that should be carrying over into other episodes. I mean, that episode basically ended on Twilight saying something along the lines of "He will be with us forever" and then he is never seen again. ;D

Agh... even people like beam gunner and Dillybar... have liked this show. someone like VIROTH! likes this? or is he just being polite? but how can someone who talks about dissection so casually like my little pony? unless... oh dear...
anyway, I'll strike a deal with you people. If someone here plays: kingdom hearts, infinite space, tales of whatever, ghost trick, skies of arcadia, Okami, or fire emblem, (if you have already, play a different one)I will swallow my manhood/pride/whatever and watch some of this show.
one episode for every game I just mentioned played by a member who wants people to watch this.
I cant for the life of me understand why or how people can watch this, but I've been wrong before. Just post it here when you do.

Just watch the damn show if you want to watch a good show. If you don't want to watch a good show, stop making excuses and don't flipping watch it.

I cant for the life of me understand why or how people can watch this, but I've been wrong before. Just post it here when you do. Done I will try and give my impression of the games I have played so you know I am not making stuff up. I have played the beginning of the first Kingdom Hearts game (doesn't count, I know) But I have played Chain of Memories. I don't know if that counts or not, but there it is. The card system was fun and all, but some of the cards were way too rare and it became frustrating when you would cycle through your deck for a certain card to start a combo and they would just counter it. I would always get stuck on Riku and Captain Hook is a little prick. As for Riku's story mode. Never beat it. It was too hard. I couldn't do it. I have played Tales of Symphonia as the music suggestion thread can attest to. I have played Skies of Arcadia and while I felt that it was a very basic RPG (maps were quite linear and the game was not that hard) I found it quite enjoyable. Especially the music. I have played Okami. I have been meaning to play it again after I unlocked some of the extra skins, but it took me about 60 hours to beat it so I am not going to be picking it up again immediately... It followed the Zelda formula, but not to a fault. It was very enjoyable. I have played Fire Emblem 7 and 8 (the two for the GBA) and have stayed far from the one with Ike because I have heard too many bad things about it. You probably aren't going to give me +2 for the two games, but oh well. 7 was excellent. 8 was pretty good too but I felt that allowing the players to have a limitless number of battles made the game too easy. 7 was super tight and your characters not all being max level really helped you feel the story's pressure late into the game. I have not played Infinite Space or Ghost Trick but am actually interested in both. That is 5 games if you count Chain of Memories and 6 if you count both Fire Emblem games. So 4-6 episodes. Although as I said in other threads, it really takes 6 for one to really get a feel for the series. Hopefully you will be a good sport, cut us some slack, and watch up through episode 6 for us. After all, it takes way longer to play one of these games than it takes to watch an episode. Just watch the damn show if you want to watch a good show. If you don't want to watch a good show, stop making excuses and don't flipping watch it. Although this is some pretty slick advice.

Just watch the damn show if you want to watch a good show. If you don't want to watch a good show, stop making excuses and don't flipping watch it. Well, THAT made me feel like a prick. but your defiantly right. I was mainly just getting people to play the games, but I probably went too far. I really must apologise for my behavior. sorry. I will watch some of these soon when no one is around... It will probably be a good show but... yeah it's not the sort of thing that you want the whole world to know one must agree. I'll definatly watch at least 6 episodes, to keep up my end of the bargin. Surprisingly, CoM is the only KH game that I will probably never play in the seires, because I lack a GBA and re-CoM didn't come out in PAL regions. (didn't stop me from getting Tales of the abyss, but yeah.) Glad to see someone who has played the same games I have, I dont have many real-life friends who do. EDIT: ... where can I watch this? youtube? also, fire emblem Path of radinace ad radiant dawn are the ones with Ike, and they are excellent games especially in terms of story. remember, the critics slaged off Gotcha force so you cant trust what they say. And waddya mean you only played the beginning of KH? elaborate please. Sorry very much for changing the subject of the thread. I find I do that a lot...

I dont have many real-life friends who do. Well now you have one EDIT: ... where can I watch this? youtube? also, fire emblem Path of radinace ad radiant dawn are the ones with Ike, and they are excellent games especially in terms of story. remember, the critics slaged off Gotcha force so you cant trust what they say. And waddya mean you only played the beginning of KH? elaborate please. Sorry very much for changing the subject of the thread. I find I do that a lot... No worries. These threads rarely stay on one topic for very long. You can watch it on Youtube. There are plenty of other places that have it. But Youtube is the easiest. Or on TV every Friday. As for me playing only the beginning of Kingdom Hearts, I borrowed a PS2 from a buddy years ago and I started that game as they asked me to return it. As for Fire Emblem, I am not talking about reviews. I speak to people I know in real life who have played it to see what they have to say about it. After all, no one more closely shares my interests than my friends. I have heard that the gameplay is good, but incredibly hard. I was barely able to beat 7 (8 was a cakewalk because of the inclusion of grinding outside of colosseums) so I don't know if I can stand an upped challenge. I have also gotten an synopsis of the story from them and have to say, I am unimpressed. It actually strikes me as pretty sloppy whenever the Dark Knight enters the picture. Dark Knight should not equal chivalrous evil Goku.

yay! we're friends ;D ;D ;D Anyway, 'cough'. sounds like they only gave you a synopsis of the 1st game. And whats wrong with the black knight? As for difficulty, easy mode is easy enough, on both games, but it isn't so easy that the game becomes boring. fire emblem is probably the one strategy game I'll play, which simply means I am awful at RTS or RTS esc games, but I still managed to pass both. 9 and 10 in the FE series are really opinionated and down to taste, I would recommend borrowing it off one of your friends if you can and see for yourself. anyway, enough of this loligaging, time too: WATCH PONIES!

Well, I watched the first 3 just now, and I will watch some more tomorrow. It's a good show, mostly because you first watch it with low expectations. But seriously, the show really isn't very girly and the sappy friendship parts are done in a bearable way. I honestly do not know what I was fretting about, I knew deep down from the start that I would like this, considering that I admit to still watching shows like spongebob. the main character (I must apologise for not remembering her name) was a good choice of character, because she seems to be one of the only ponies who has a slightly more gloomy view than the others, which balances out the rest of the shows sappiness. Well, some might now say to me that I am a sissy for enjoying this, but quite the opposite: If your too bound by the crowd and what they think, then you'll think shows like this are 'gay' and slag off anyone else who watches it. part of becoming mature is about... admitting what you like despite what others may think. If your too insensitive too say that you hate a show like this because it makes you puke on it's sentiment, then the rest of us feel sorry for you, because we are not bound by the shackles you wear. we are free to like what we like because we dont care what others may think. We like rainbow ponies. Somehow, I still dont feel like I said enough, but I cant put the true essence of my point into words that I feel happy with. But others reading this, just know: I dont care what you think of me for liking a show like this, as you are not me and I know what I like.
(Just so you guys know, I'm still keeping this a secret from my real life friends lol, which kind of renders my point invalid to myself, but, ahh, such is the pomposity of a human who wishes to hang on to their precious 'dignity')

^ Exactly. When making it they strived to create something that was for kids, but that the potential adults watching it with them would be able to stand/enjoy as well. I think that they succeeded brilliantly.

^ regardless of the target audience for the show, it gets the job done, and provides something unique in the process.

I am amazed at how entertaining this show is despite having a cast purely consisting of stock characters.
