We had a LONG TALK about how Its gay for me to watch it. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood but did you try telling him what a close minded homophobic eejit he was being? oh no my MACHO SON, instead of loving MANLY things like MONSTER TRUCKS and WRESTLING likes WOMANLY things like PONIES so therefore he must only keep his heart for the MOST WOMANLY thing of all OTHER MEN. I mean who the hell does he think he is. |

I'm sorry to hear about this Beam Gunner, I hope your family can become more tolerant of your interest in this show. I'm glad you still are going to watch the show. Don't let anyone dictate what your interests in media are. Also remember, that we accept that you like the show and there are many, many people like you who watch and enjoy this show.  |

I am proud to say that I have had no conflicts.
I watch this show openly in public and at home with my little brother.
If someone start making fun of me I ignore them.
If they persist I tear their point to shreds by bringing up how the target audience is not 2 year old girls. That they wanted to cut out the pander and goo-goo so that they could ramp up the quality and make a show that the parents would enjoy watching with their kids. The target audience is both genders of any age group.
If you don't like it then don't like it but don't smear your opinion all over me, I don't want to hear it.
However, I was once watching the abridged Yugioh series in public once and people started whispering "Is he... But... Why is Colin watching Yugioh? Am I missing something?"

Although most of my friends and people that know I like this show still say it's stupid even when I explain this to them. When that happens, I just say what the picture below says, and fortunately this usually shuts them up. I had a good day today. I found out one of my best friends is interested why this show is so popular so he agreed to watch the first three episodes. After the 2-part pilot we was still a little iffy but saw how the show was good, but immediately became a brony after watching the third episode. ;D Attachments:

well i cant really get into the show
mostly because of the fact i see my little pony mostly as girl toys i cant watch it without thinking that
but i honestly think it must be good considering the fanbase/ the fact the director also made my favorite cartoons back in the day

They have the immaturity of 5 year olds, about people watching this show, when THEY'VE NEVER EVEN WATCHED IT, MOST LIKELY.
