thadudette.deviantart.com/#/d39dcpdI know I put it under the "short stories" category but it's not that short FYI :3 Christian themes are mentioned quite often so you can decide whether or not that stops you from reading. I don't expect everyone to read it but I'd be honored if someone decided to ;D

I tried to read it but when I opened the file it was a very long string of strange characters that looked like DOS commands. Agh! I was looking forward to it too...
Do I need a specific program? I was using wordpad.

I'm on page 16 now. Really interesting. Also, my name's kurt in real life, so that's kinda cool, too.

Thanks guys ;D I tried to read it but when I opened the file it was a very long string of strange characters that looked like DOS commands. Agh! I was looking forward to it too... Do I need a specific program? I was using wordpad. Its a PDF file, it SHOULD just open in PDF format if you left-click it At least it does that for me...

This is very good. i just read to chapter 3. its written well, original, and keeps the reader hooked. what made you want to write this? i am always on the lookout for new ideas, as i do a bit of writing in my spare time too! (well, i do have something I'm writing right now, but I haven't worked on it a lot recently and it isn't anywhere near this standard.) I plan on reading some more later! ;D

Oops sorry, I didn't notice this till now (I was busy last weekend) Thanks alberenza, you should post some of your stuff too ;D (You're often your worst critic, you know...) I'm actually surprised everyone's telling me the sad ending was unexpected, I thought the foreshadowing at the beginning was fairly obvious Oh well, I like plot twists I usually get inspired by video games :3 The most direct influence on this one actually was a backstory/explanation thingy I wrote for the events in Gotcha (yay plot recycling), but I was also playing through Tales of Symphonia at the same time I was writing this story so you can kind of see some of the similarities if you think hard enough XD

Tales of Symphonia? I love that game! however i dont see many similarities, but inspiration comes from the weirdest places and I have not played the game in ages. the reason the ending was unexpected was because... (spoilers for others)
you expected mira and saif to live 'happily ever after', i even expected saif to get restored even after he died.
(end spoilers) I would post my work but... its not finished. I have two 'projects' that I am working on, one of them is actually for a computer game, a JRPG tales inspired game called 'shadow sun' but, yeah, i havent finished, i got most of the plot and some game mechanics down, but they way the notes are laid out, information comes in random, poorly written pockets. I'll PM it to you if you like, and get another opinion. As for my other project... its a sci-fi novel that I havent written in for years. also, your welcome, and thank you for writing this, as its getting me back in a creative mood! ;D

ToS helped me more in characterization than plot, and I watched some parts of the OVA to get the swordfights and certain emotions for certain scenes down :3 You can PM me your stuff if you'd like, I'd love to look over it ;D (Not that I have much time lately so it might take some time ) And you're welcome, that makes me feel gooder about writing it ;D (I have a good English)
