If there were a lot to the game why didn't they show more than prerendered scenes of people getting kicked in the face?

I played this on the PC.
It's kind of terrible. You get your face mashed in by people who understand what they're doing, or you watch as your opponent's character falls menacingly at you, while yours does the same. And then it picks a random winner.
