The original online battle game started up in August of last year and I first started playing it in December of 2009, and the server shut down on August 5th of this year, and five days later, a new version of the game, known as Nanovor Evolution, went live (Unity3D web player required). Because I played the old game, I was awarded the "Grizzled Veteran" player badge on NanoEvo. I also have a Nanovor Club membership lasting until Spring of 2011. I have 64 Nanovor in my collection. Every Friday-Sunday, three new Nanovor come out. The Nanovor released on every Saturday and Sunday are given out for free for those with a Nanovor Club membership.

yeah, kinda like Pokemon. If you have a Unity3D web player already installed, then you should have no problem playing Nanovor Evolution. The object of Nanovor is to eliminate all the monsters in the opponent's swarm (a swarm is a team of Nanovor). The Nanovor come in three families: Magnamods, Velocitrons, and Hexites. Magnamods are slow, but they have a lot of armor and high attack power. Velocitrons are speedy and pretty powerful, but they have little armor. Hexites are fastest, and have varying attack powers, and NO armor whatsoever. The Nanovor, in case you don't know, are Nanoscopic silicon-based life-forms discovered by a high school student, Lucas Nelson, and his science professor, who is nicknamed Doc Zap. These teeny-tiny beasties love to fight, you know! You can get Nanovor by buying them at the store with either Nanocash, the in game currency, or a number of Jolts (they can be earned from either Nanovor battles, uploaded via Nanoscope handheld, or online minigames). To get Nanocash, buy a Nanocash card (in values of $10, $15, and $20) at places like ToysRUs, Best Buy, and such. Here's another method of getting Nanocash: for every five times your player level goes up, you get a small amount of Nanocash. There's this daily prize thing going on and it's another way of getting Nanocash, or at least Jolts. On every seventh day of the daily prize thing, you have a chance to earn a super-rare Nanovor, Cyber Shark Pro! Hexites usually start Power Combos which Velocitrons finish with devastating side effects. Very few Magnamods can start a Team Boost, which has a special side-effect for you swarm. In the old game, there were overrides, and there's all sorts of them. Magnamods can do Red Spike Overrides, Velocitrons Yellow, and Hexites Blue. Spike Overrides have a special effect on certain Nanovor attacks.

I bet you're wondering about the Nanoscope. The Nanoscope is this special handheld released for the old online battle game, and you can uplink it to the game, to download Nanovor, and upload Jolts! When Nanovor Evolution went live, there's a Nanoscope Manager program that was released with it. I downloaded it and gave it a go, and it worked really well, and it fixed my Nanoscope, gave it some new training games, and the best part is, is that you can download ANY ten Nanovor onto it!
