Well even though we (americans) have to pay for our health care, the ER (or Casualty as i remember being it called in the show ER in that scene in England ) cant refuse to help you. That's why the immigration issue is so big.. because at the US/mexican border there are so many illegals that cross to get treatment (or end up getting it for whatever reason). The government complains they **coughcoughtaxpayers** have to pay for the illegals' treatment just to ship em back to their own country. From what I've heard, our system is better in regards to all the options you have. You choose your health coverage (most jobs provide it to you anyway) and then you can go where ever you want as long as the insurance company accepts them. but if you have free healthcare you have to go through a lengthy waiting process to be seen. And your government has to approve of your treatments, etc?? That's what I've heard. And I wouldnt like the government playing that much of a role in my life. I don't like big government and in fact I think the US should be broken in to smaller parts, but now i feel a rant coming on if i dont st----- And I'm currently familiar with all this because I've had quite a few doctors appts in the past month. I got a neuro appt in just a week and then scheduled 2 tests (immediately after my appt) for 5 and 6 days later. Would it be that quick in another country? (seriously asking)
