So something struck me the other day which I've never really thought about before.
Could the headband Orochi's wearing be (part of) what brainwashes her? Seeing as she's being freed as it flies away at the end movie made me ponder this.
Maybe it acts as some sort of enhancer to GE's brainwaves or whatnot.
Edit: ******* typos!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I always assumed. Her eyes also change after it flies off, which seems to be a sign of the GE's control.

Originally, she went into the video game world about to become the first female main character of Namco's Tales Of series, so the design team put the headband on her to start her design but it had a glitch in it so that she became evil and got misplaced into a Capcom villain instead, leaving a mess in both Namco and Capcom's offices which Capcom eventually fixed up by putting her into a cool game they were making anyways, since they decided she made a cooler villain than the current one. And that is how Orochi stole not only Mina's villain role, but also Lloyd Irving's headband. At least that's what I first thought of when I saw "headband" in the title ...My first thoughts don't even answer the question xD

Galactic Emperor melted the essence of the death eye into a scarf/headband so it wouldn't be so conspicuous. Maybe.

I guess maybe bandana or sweatband ( Orochi does look sporty) would've been a better choice of words. Man, English sure has many names for the same things.

But they're not the same thing. A bandana is more like a colorful handkerchief. Examples of bandana-wearing include Antoine Dodson of Bed Intruder fame. A sweatband is that little fuzzy elastic thing that goes around your head or wrist to keep sweat from bothering you.

Headband is probably the best word for it, unless you count head-scarf-thing...it's just that my currently ToS-saturated mind decided to spazz on me when it saw that word

I think the bandana flying off at the end is more symbolic than anything else. Considering she continues to wear her bandana after turning on the Galactic Emperor and joining your team I think it's safe to say that there's no connection.

Yeah, probably doesn't have anything to do with her amnesia, either. Since Capcom has some art with her hair down. Which they shouldn't do if they wanna give the impression that the headband does something to her appearance/memories :3

I always thought it was such a shame that when she joins your team she isn't wearing her regular clothes. They should have done that! Her design is so cool when she's not wearing seaweed on her head!

You know...couldn't it just be symbolic? Taking it off lets her hair fall down, representing freedom.
