As far as I know, the voiced intro says nothing of the sort about G Red being the first Borg that lands on Earth. Unless the NTSC version of this game is different in that way. Reading both Sasuke's and Nao's descriptions tells that they both got to Earth before G Red. No, I concede! It's just that the whole anime style intro and the voiced bit really implies that G Red was the first, and I read too far into implications and all that... Still, I wouldn't know if it's different in the NTSC version. You get PAL in England.

Now then, to try and bring things back on-topic, here's a little possible outcome about Sho's father that I have:
1. Most likely, the Death Force with GE up front, got to Earth first.
2. Sho's father got somehow involved with them, perhaps in the way that GE tried to manipulate him in order to gain GF energy.
3. Somehow this backfired (maybe because he's an adult?) and he couldn't handle GE's mind and either fell into a coma or even died.
This is why GE chose a younger person instead, and Rin became the new target.
4. Sho, being close to his dad, fell into despair as Garuda approached him and convinced him that all Borgs (rather than the Death Force alone) were responsible for this whole ordeal, and promised to help Sho revenge his father.

Speaking of what happened to Sho's dad, me and my friend used to make up possible out comes.
Maybe he got shot by Sirius Maybe a Shiruken Ninja Stabbed him in his foot whilst other Borgs like Revolver Gunman and Normal Ninja unleash hell upon him! He could have stepped in the path of Ultimate Cannon? If Garuda's can devastate planets, I'm sure Sho's dad would get owned nicely
;D Just a few ideas

Maybe Sho's dad will return in Gotcha Force 2, in a Rave Master-esque way
e.g. We all think he's dead/evil and then it turns out we had the wrong fella. Sho's dad re-unites with Sho and they start fighting together against the guy we thought was Sho's dad. Then they beat him and start travelling with Kou and fight against the death force at which point both Sho and Kou enter a life-threatening situation and Sho's dad gives his life to save them both.
Sound good?

I bet Sho's dad just got a bad haircut or something from a Gotcha Borg one time and Sho is just over-reacting.

G Red wasn't the first Borg to land on Earth. Both the intro as well as Sasuke's and Nao's descriptions confirm this. Wait a minute... the fantastically voiced intro about a meteorite falling to Sahari [sic] town and a boy going in search of it, hoping to find an adventure introducing G Red as if he was the first was a lie? Well that's as crazy a statement as saying that there's no such borg as Cutter Ninja! I didn't have time to get on yesterday, but I'd like to add that no one here seemed to notice his last sentence. Well that's as crazy a statement as saying that there's no such borg as Cutter Ninja! On topic, I'd thought that Sho's father tried to stop GE but got killed/taken hostage so Sho wanted to take revenge on all Gotcha borgs using the power of Garuda.

He's right but the manual has issues... Sho - Shou?

you do realize that Sho's father had a Death Crystal at one time before his disappearance/death/whatever? Perhaps Sho's father stole it from the Death Force and GE had him killed? Or maybe during his short involvement in the Death Force, he recieved the Death Crystal.

That's the joke. My brother and I call Shuriken Ninja "Cutter Ninja" and occasionally Sho "Shou" because of the awful translations.

Sho, I cannot say I dig too much.
If the general implication is that his father was killed... Which I'm not entirely sure of since that would be remarkably morbid... It's acceptable that it would cause him to snap and want to wipe out all borgs, and that the already-sadistic Garuda would gravitate toward him due to this desire. It could happen.
However, his development in the story tends to forget the sheer gravity of his circumstances. He's not just an angry kid lashing out- he's a traumatized boy who has lost his father to tiny aliens from outer space waging a campaign of vengeful genocide while the tiny murder-machine at his shoulder uses him as a means to get stronger while showing no sign of kinship beyond a shared lust for destruction.
He has the makings of an appropriate villain, but it's a bit too intense an origin story for an antihero in this context.
Still, in his ideal ending, Sho responds to the Gotcha Force's sense of justice, and puts aside his hatred of Gotcha Borgs to focus on fighting the Death Force. This elimination of very well-earned prejudices for the greater good is a very grown-up sort of decision, which I'm not certain a 12-something-year-old could make so shortly after watching his father die, particularly when he still has a very obvious devil on his shoulder.
I just don't buy it.
